Great Product for the Elderly
I bought this for my elderly step-mother because the one she had, she couldn’t lift the rail after getting into bed. This rail was easy from taking it out of the box, to putting up under her mattress and she can easily put it up and down.

My dad sleeps much better now!
My 92-year-old dad fell out of bed a couple of times recently, and was worried that sooner or later he would be seriously injured or unable to get up off the floor on his own. This bed rail solved the problem nicely: It assembles in a few minutes without tools, is the right height for his mattress (which is about 6.5 inches thick), folds easily to allow him to enter/exit the bed, stays in place solidly (even though it has no strap), and because the bars that go underneath are semi-flat he cannot feel them through the mattress. The folding action is stiff enough that he does not need to bother clicking it into locked position or using the trigger to release it (though he is capable of doing so) but not so stiff as to cause difficulty. The only potential downside was that the cardboard box it came in had developed a hole—presumably caused by one of the metal bars inside hitting against the end during shipping—that potentially could have let some of the pieces come out and get lost, but fortunately everything was still inside when I received it.Note that it's possible (but not mentioned in the instructions) to assemble the rail in two ways, so that it folds down toward the head or foot of the bed. But it's easy to remove and reverse if you later realize that you should have done it the other way.My dad loves his new bed rail and says he sleeps much better now without the fear of falling.

This is a great piece of equipment
I liked how easy it was to setup and my other can use it herself. I feel much better knowing she won’t be falling out of bed.

Easy to assemble and has some good features
I ordered the 37.8” x 16.3” bedrail. This bed rail is easy to assemble with no tools. There are lettered stickers on all of the parts, so you can easily tell which part goes where.Note: My instructions said to insert a couple plastic end pieces into 2 pipes. I looked for the plastic pieces and couldn’t find them. I thought they were missing, but it turns out they were already installed in the pipes. So if you’re missing plastic pieces that go inside the ends of 2 pipes, check to see if they’re already installed! The bedrail easily collapses up and down. You have to hold the red handle down all the way before releasing to lock the bar into place. If you don’t hold the red handle down when locking the railing, you’ll have to slam the railing into place with enough force to lift the locking pin as it goes into the locking hole. But using that much force can move the whole bed rail unit and could possibly damage the wall, if the bedrail is close enough for the end of the rail to hit it.During assembly I noticed one of my locking pins has a problem. It seems slightly too big for the hole it needs to lock into/push out of. I flipped the bar it was on to see if it would lock in better to the hole on the opposite side, but it still has the problem. My description maybe doesn’t make sense without an illustration, but, the issue is one of the locking pins doesn’t poke out through the other bar to lock well. Luckily it’s in a part that’s way under the bed, and everything else locked well, so I’m hoping it won’t be a problem.I also feel the railing itself is more wobbly than I’d hoped. I have the bolt tightened all the way, but the railing still wobbles a lot where it’s connected to the part that goes under the bed. I might get some washers or spacers or something, and try to make it more sturdy. For being the price it is, I expected it to be more sturdy, especially for something that is supposed to provide stability or something stable to hold onto.Another note: make sure you check the measurements of the railing to see how high it will come up on the bed in relation to your mattress. I watched the video in the description and was thinking the railing was going to come up that high above my mattress, but my mattress is clearly much taller than the one in the video! So the railing doesn’t come up as high in relation to my mattress as it does in the video. My mattress is 13”.I do like that the bracing structure under the bed is made of fairly flat pipes. I have another bedrail from a different company, and that bedrail has comparatively large round pipes for the bracing structure, and that creates a bit of a bump under my mattress that I can feel while laying on it.

Easy to assemble, setup and operate
I installed this in a child's bunk bed. It works great and is easy to operate. It is also tall enough that it seems to provide good protection on a normal twin size mattress. I did find that one of the cross bars does not "pop" into place very well. I could probably zip tie it or something. And its the one underneath the bed--so I don't think it would matter too much even if it did come lose.

Handy and very simple to put together.
Where do I start. I recently became the caregiver for my elderly mother. She is currently bedridden due to her MS. Getting her in and out of bed can be difficult at times. Her doctor prescribed her a hospital bed, but her health insurance company has been really dragging their feet to approve it. So in the mean time I got this to help with giving her something to hold on to while I am transferring her back and forth to her wheel chair until her insurance company approves her new bed. It also comes in handy for giving her something to hold on to while getting her dressed as well. The build quality is ok. It was very simple to put together. It's not as sturdy as the rails on a regular hospital bed, but that is to be expected. One thing I wish it had is some kind of straps in order to attach it more securely to her current bed. So far, it has been a great help until we get her a new bed.
