I purchased the rose gold ones for myself, as I wanted something small. I cannot wear sterling silver due to metal allergies -- BUT -- can wear earrings that are "14k gold plated" with very minimal-to-no reaction. When these arrived, I noticed the posts were a bit off-center/angled ... not the highest of quality like you'd find at a jewelry store, but cute nonetheless. After wearing them for less than 24-hours, my ears began to react to the silver under the supposed 14k overlay. I immediately took them out, cleaned my ears and looked to see what the issue could have been. Unfortunately, there did not appear to be any "markings" indicating 14k overlay ... a mistake on my end for not checking after opening. I was very dissapointed but chose not to return them in leiu of going to a local jewler to have them plated and the posts fixed.

Got them for my wife, her favorite animal is elephants, and she's hypoallergenic to low quality metals in earrings. At first I was worried that it would be an issue, but she wears them everyday without problems.

I wish they were larger as.i would like to have a pair for myself. But I know they will be loved they are so cute. Looking forward to purchasing the backless.

My daughter has extremely sensitive skin to multiple things. We recently pierced her ears and every earring we have tried has caused infection, even pure gold. These earrings have been a blessing. Her ears stay a little dry on the back but we keep the backs on the first notch for a loose fit and we have been infection free since we used the item.
