Great Unbalanced splitter, know when it is best to use and unbalanced or a balanced splitter
Know when an unbalanced 3-way splitter is best for your needs. I needed a 3-way outdoor splitter for a total of four devices where two devices next to each other were already using a 2-way splitter. An unbalanced 3-way splitter is two 2-way splitters inside one housing. The more splitters used, the more the signal gets reduced. I attached the two -7 dB loss output leads to devices that were directly connected to the coax cable, with the -3.5 dB loss output lead going to the coax cable that already had a 2-way splitter at the other end. This type of configuration makes all of the devices on my system with an even -7 dB signal loss. Another reason for an unbalanced splitter is if one of the coax outputs is extremely longer than the other two.

Does not work for DirecTv SWM system (if your current spliter is green, I believe)
I bought this hoping it would work with Direct TV- it does not, if you have a SWM system. I cannot tell if this works or not as it does not work with my service. Wish I could say "Non-Review" and not give it a star rating as I just want my review to be here for people wondering if this would work for their directv system. Keywords: Directv. Direct Tv. Satellite.

Great Simple Splitter
My Apartment only has one cable line coming in. Problem is i have three tv's. I found this splitter and thought i would give it a shot. This splitter works as it should. There are three connections two lower frequencies and one higher. The higher one is used for running a line further away, so the signal stays good. But anyways, this product from Viewsonics does what it should and will work for any cable splitting needs.

A Good Purchase
Excellent item, especially if you are going to connect more than one item to your coax.

Works and priced right
I appreciate that the device has labels for -3 and -7dB, so you can pick out the stronger signal for the TVs that get used the most.
