Birdie Approves!
For birds obviously, these are meant to be destroyed. I use these when my conjure, Soren, is afraid of new toys or for foraging by putting these into his food bowls with confetti paper strips or with treats into the balls itself (confetti made with veggie dye of course so it’s bird-safe). These are listed as bird safe and some of the Q&As say they are safe dyes. Based on that and the fact that some reviewers have gotten these for the pets, I would assume they are some kind of veggie dyes used.I used to buy these mini balls at my bird store for .50 cents each but I only bought like 4 at a time when I shop (once a month). Soren, goes through them like crazy. The 4 don’t last two weeks! He loves holding them and he loves playing with them when in his cage or out. I guess that since he is still young, he loves holding his small foot toys more than his larger cage hanging toys which can appear threatening to him at times. They are good for smaller birds, and younger birds that are starting to bite or need something smaller and lighter to chew through. I think these, a mini shoe toy, and finger traps were great starters to have helped my little guy begin chewing through his larger wood toys.

Great for Rodents, Too!
If you’re looking for chew ball toys for your gerbil, hamster, rat, mouse, guinea pig, or any other small pet the best place to buy is in the bird section. My gerbil loves to destroy these chew balls and use the shredded pieces of wood to decorate his bedding. The price for the amount of chew balls is very fair, something I can’t say for the exact same product marketed toward rodents. If you were to look up these same toys under the rodent tag on Amazon, you would easily be paying twice as much for twice as little.Thank you, bird people, for selling great toys at a great price and quantity that are also safe for rodents. My gerbil tears through so many of these things that if I want him to have a good backup, I need the price to not break the bank!

My Parakeets like the little colored balls.
My Parakeets like the little colored balls, although they don't play with them too often. The colored balls are sturdy and don't fall apart. The Parakeets can easily grab the balls in their beaks.

Birdy ball pit!
These are the perfect size for my cockatiel to destroy! She loves loves her “ball pit”! Originally I got them to replace the ones on a toy but seeing how much she liked them hanging I tried them in a bowl to see if she’d like it and oh my. She has a blast in there! I throw a millet in there sometimes to mix things up and we also found that she loves “kitty boinks” they’re here on amazon as well. I put all that stuff in this giant dog bowl I purchased at the dollar tree and she’s like a kid in a candy store lol!! I think a stronger bird would go through them much faster though.

My birdies favorite toys.
My birdies love love love these toys. Oddly enough my dogs like them too. They are small cute and last awhile until my birdies destroy them! And it comes with a lot of them in one bag. Worth the price.

Very colorful.
It was a little smaller than I expected but I purchased for a rodent not a bird and haven’t received my animal yet. I bought them on a suggestion from someone else so I can’t say if he likes them yet. Price and shipping were wonderful.
