Millbrook Salt and Pepper Grinder Set

Not only was this grinder affordable, it is also good looking. I was worried the metal would be cheap and scratch easily, but it is very well made and looks more pricey than it is. It is very easy to operate, you can change the size of the grind, and I love the all in one rather than needing two grinders. This product exceeded my expectations.

I bought this for my remodeled kitchen so I didn't use it for a few months so the review is a bit late. However, I absolutely loved this for the first month. I loaded it with pink himalayan salt and peppercorns. I used it every time I cooked and I left it on the counter because it just looked so nice. However after the first month - maybe six weeks - the pepper stopped grinding. I read the directions and I checked it and my spouse checked it and we just can't get it to work. I am so disappointed. I would have given it a 5 the first week I had it.

I like this a lot, but I wish it were fatter and shorter, as it tends to fall over, and then roll around, potentially off the table. We keep ours on a lazy susan and when we spin it around to get something off of it, this falls over. So for now everything else is on the lazy susan and this stands next to it on the table (still gets knocked over easily, but at least it isn't on something that spins around). But this feels and works like a quality piece of equipment, it is a great product mechanically, and it looks good. 5 stars for all of that. Had to rate it 4 stars overall, though, because it falls over too easy.

the pepper side works really good with pepper corns but the salt side with celtic sea salt gets hung up in the grinder and doesnt fall down into the grinder. regular salt if ok, but takes a lot of hand turning to get some out The pepper side works really nice

For 2 months, this was a great, attractive dual mill, and we loved it. Then, for no reason, the pepper side stopped working, like the grinder was completely stripped. And I mean, no reason -- we didn't do anything dumb to it, just tried to grind pepper. Of course, after 2 months, it was no longer eligible for return through Amazon. So I left feedback for the seller (listed as Millbrook Kitchenware, but fulfilled by Amazon), asking if they would contact me about replacing the faulty mill. The only response I got was an email from Amazon informing me that my feedback had been "suppressed" (yes, that's Amazon's word) because it wasn't about the seller but was a product review -- meanwhile, every other review on the seller's page is a 4-5 star comment about what a great product it is and how well it works. Clearly there's some strategic editing happening.Either way, the grinder is poorly made and the seller couldn't care less about customer service. Spend your money somewhere else.

great grinder-having been addicted to electric grinders for over 15 years since hand strength normally makes it difficult to use manual grindersI hesitated to buy this grinder when I needed to replace my 2 electric grinders that met their death when they fell off kitchen table. I actually wason Amazon looking for replacement electric grinders and kept passing this one up since it was a manual grinder. Finally I guess I saw it oftenenough that I took the time to read the "hype" and reviews and decided for the price it just might be worth trying. The "hype" by the seller is no"hype", everything said is absolutely true. This little purchase has turned out to be one of the best purchases ever from Amazon. This is the bestgrinder I have had in 15 years. It is easier to fill then the electric grinders, don't spill salt and peppercorns everywhere, holds twice the amount of salt and peppercorns as my electric grinders, leaves no salt and pepper all over my table, is easy to turn the grinding mechanism and last but not least I didn't have to fill it with 12 batteries. Love this little thing. My son even tried it and now he and his girlfriend want to replace their electric grinders with this one. Highly recommend this grinder even if you have had problems in past with manual grinders, you won't with this one. Handles coarse sea salt and peppercorns with no problems. Will definitely be purchasing more for myself and for gifts

I love the two-in-one salt and pepper mill. It's easy to fill with the wide opening and holds plenty of salt and pepper corns. The adjustable ceramic grinder works great to get just the right size grind. After having battery operated grinders that failed, I've gone back to the manual grind and this one is perfect.

Broke after a few uses on Himalayan Pink Salt. The plastic peice which holds the inner grinding stone to the shaft is stripped out. This causes the inner stone to rotate with the outer stone and no salt is ground. The plastic body also cracked along the injection seam. The design looks nice, but is not very robust at all.Didn't think I used it very hard, and saw no precautions about using salt?
