The original basket that came with our LG dishwasher fell apart little by little. This basket is designed way better and is so much more durable than the lg. I like that the separators keep the silverware in line and away from each other so they get clean better. The plastic on this basket is stronger and the bottom of the basket has smaller holes than the original LG, so the utensils don’t fall out and hit the bottom of the dishwasher. Overall I don’t like this dishwasher, but I’m not ready to spend the money to replace it. So this basket came in handy - I can tolerate it a little longer!

Much better utensil management and direct fit!

When our factory LG dishwasher silverware tray finally was unable to hold silverware anymore without some of them dropping through the bottom, I was ready to try some sort of self-help to fix it. Before I did, as always, I looked on Amazon and there it was. The dishwasher still works well and we like it very much and wanted to keep it. This replacement tray fit perfectly and works just fine. I recommend it.

I bought this to replace the silverware holder that came with my LG dishwasher. That thing was junk - it developed holes in the bottom so silverware would slip through.This has a tighter weave in the bottom of the tray. It's heavier duty and perhaps a hair bigger.I'm not sure I get the point of it coming in three interlocking sections. At first I didn't have it snapped into place correctly so it kept coming apart - meaning I had to take out each piece separately when emptying silverware. Now, that's snapped tightly I can pick it up by the handle to unload. However, I'd prefer it was all in one piece - there's absolutely not reason I would ever need to separate the pieces. I suppose there could be a scenario in which it would be helpful to make it smaller to load something oversized but that hasn't come up for me yet.I'm not sure why LG didn't include this model with the dishwasher but I'm happy to have found it.

I have no idea what the one-star reviewers got, but we got a full, three-part basket, very similar to the OEM model. The handle in ours swivels, allowing the two middle compartments to be used with larger utensils, which our original one did not. Also, our original model had square mesh on all sides, including the bottom. We have a lot of workout bottles, things with large straws that can be removed, and small kitchen utensils. In the old basket, they would often get stuck in, or fall through, the mesh on the bottom. The new baskets have a much tighter hexagonal pattern that even a standard straw would not fall through. We were worried that the dishwasher might not clean as well, but we've had no problems, and it has been even better than the original in every way.

Replacement for dishwasher. It is the same as the original basket. We had to purchase a new basket because our original basket in our dishwasher bottom of the basket broke and would not hold silverware anymore. Cheaper to buy a new basket than a new dishwasher.

While, I will never buy another LG dishwasher... this basket is exactly what we needed. Since buying our dishwasher 2 years ago, I've replaced the silverware basket twice and the motor. Apparently, LG isn't the reliable brand I'd come to expect, and that goes for the silverware basket... this is our 3rd, and it's holding up well (most importantly, it fit).

The only issue with this is, that one of the side baskets will fall off from time to time when you go to remove it from the dishwasher . So you have to be aware of that.
