It cannot be programmed for a 2006 Kia Sedona. As soon as I opened it and went to the programming website, it says, "you cannot program a 2006 Kia Sedona with this instruction website. You must contact your dealership or an auto locksmith." My Kia dealership won't do it because we didn't purchase it through Kia. Auto locksmith costs $300+, so not worth it.

This key fob needs to be programmed to your vehicle by a dealer. You can’t do it yourself. Unfortunately the Kia dealer told me that their equipment was unable to read the key fob. I don’t know of any other options for programming so be aware that you might be wasting your time and money buying this.

After purchase, the Fob has to be taken to a professional locksmith to be programmed, was charged $100 for a program hookup and the locksmith computer couldnt program the fob. Device has no FCC Id on it, and locksmith said it probably wasnt the corrext part and without an Id it couldn't be verified.Dont buy this - skip the middle man and just go to a locksmith for the fob, at least it will be the correct item.

Properly operation

Way cheaper than going thru a dealership for $125. I still had to go to a lockshop to get it programmed but he charged $25 where the dealership was going to charge me $100. I immediately bought a spare.

An affordable replacement and it works great! The Kia dealer wanted around $75 for the the remote and over $100 to program it. I used Chicago Locksmiths and the programed it for $45 in about 3 minutes. If you are in Chicago, check them out!!

I ordered two. The instructions were terrible to program the remotes. I had a locksmith do it. One works fine one does not work at all.

Just bought this product for my 2010 Kia Sedona. It came quickly, took it to a locksmith and they were able to program it for my van. The cost of the fob plus programming is half the price quoted me from the KIA dealer. TOUCHDOWN!
