My stupid body has some weird nerve pain issue and I've been in discomfort for most of my life but the past 12 years have been downright awful, as far as pain goes.I have seen well over 50 specialists and doctors to try to find a solution and most foods, preservatives and medications cause me additional nerve pain.I spent some time at the Mayo Clinic and they diagnosed me with "chronic intractable pain syndrome" which means they don't know the cause, but even though MRIs show up as physically normal, for some reason, my brain interprets regular normal signals as excruciating pain.Corydalis is one of the few things I've been able to take that does not cause me additional pain or extreme lethargy as a side-effect. This works very well for me. Unfortunately, the pain relief only lasts a few hours and I have to take more.When I'm on prescription pain medication, I keep the Corydalis around for the times when my pain flares up and gets worse, which is usually does every few weeks or so.I've recently stopped my regular pain medication because it has side-effects that are very bad for my health and so I've been taking Parker Naturals Corydalis as a stop-gap in the meantime before I can see my physician again and get a prescription filled for yet another medication that might or might not help me.My pain is very high so I take 4 capsules of this Corydalis (2000mg) every few hours. Yes, it exceeds the maximum daily dosage. But I'm not having hideous side-effects like I have been on the past two pain med prescriptions from my doctor.

I had a really bad injury breaking 6 consecutive ribs into. I received 2 injections of Dilaudid at the ER that did not take away the pain. I was given A script for Oxycodone 10/325, after 5 days it was changed to Hydrocodone because I was wired up and couldn't sleep. A total of 19 days on these Narcotics and I stopped having 4 days of headaches and irratibility ETC. I called the pharmicist and she said that I was having withdrawal symptoms from the Narcotics. I ordered the Corydalis 10:1 capsules and some pain relief ointment. The Corydalis has geen highly effective in relieving my pain. I have some deteriorated disc also tension headaches for years. It has also had a highly positive effect on eliminitating and preventing tension headaches. It serves as a mild muscle relaxer and helps with sleep as well. I have worked with many people towards weight loss, Holistic lifestyle approaches and natural healing since 1988. I have used lots of supplements including vitamins, minerals, amino acids and herbs. This is my first experience with Corydalis and I am very impressed. I have tried everything for my headaches including eliminating gluten, grains and dairy from my diet. I have not tried acupuncture yet but plan to in the future. I will use Corydalis long term if it is proven safe for laong term use. I usually order my supplements from a company in Canada because I get physicians pricing but I just ordered another bottle of the 1000mg, 10:1 from Amazon.

THIS CORYDALIS WORKS FOR ME- IT MAKES ALL MY PAINS GO AWAY, INCLUDING MY HEART PAIN. SOMETIMES IT GIVES MY HEART A JOLT WHICH SCARES ME FOR A MOMENT AND THEN GOES AWAY, AND SO DOES MY BRUTAL ARTHRITIS PAIN. THAT IS WHY I KEEP TAKING IT. IT DOES NOT GIVE ME A JOLT EVERY TIME, I DON'T KNOW ON WHAT THAT DEPENDS. IT ALSO GIVES ME A BUST OF ENERGY THAT KEEPS ME AWAKE DURING THE DAY AND THAT MAKES ME VERY HAPPY, YET FEW TIMES MADE ME SLEEP.I THINK IT CAUSES CONSTIPATION. PAY ATTENTION TO IT AND DECIDE IF IT IS THIS THAT IT CAUSES IT.BECAUSE IT TAKES MY MOST BRUTAL PAIN AWAY I WILL KEEP BUYING IT. MIND I ONLY TAKE ONE PILL EVERY TIME. MY CARDIOLOGIST TOLD ME " IF IT WORKS FOR THE PAIN TAKE IT, BUT IF IT KEEPS GIVING YOU A JOLT AND YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE JUST DON'T TAKE IT ANYMORE"-

I have had pretty severe pain for years now due to my Crohn' s disease, a very visceral pain that can be extremely distressing at times.
