Madame Alexander Baby Face Girl, 19",Brown Hair/Brown Eyes

I bought this doll for myself. I collect dolls and sew clothes and allow my grandchildren to play with them at my home. I keep them for a while and then give them away to neighbor kids family anyone who could use a nice doll with lots of clothes. I was skeptical about this doll as I didn't know much about the brand. I can tell you when I opened up the box I was immediately happy. she is pretty, a perfect size and very cuddly. I think her size would be best for children over 5, I think any younger and the doll would be too big. She is about the size of a real six month old. All and all, very very pleased. This is from someone who collects lots of different dolls and has seen both good and bad.

We just ordered the Cuddle Baby Face Brown/Brown doll for our granddaughter's 6th birthday. She loved the doll! We did read all the customer reviews before purchasing the baby doll. On the positive side, she has a beautiful face and lifelike feet and hands. our granddaughter loved her "real eyelashes." She is soft and cuddly. It's so fun that she can wear newborn-size real baby clothes. We have had fun going to garage sales and Goodwill picking up newborn clothes. She does look best in clothes that have long sleeves and long legs due to the vinyl/cloth ratio on her body. The clothing she arrives in is exceptionally well- made and the cotton knit fabric is the quality you would find at Gymboree. I do agree that this doll works best for someone 4+ years due to her larger size. She has nice hair that my granddaughter loves to brush with a baby brush. Addressing the negative: The doll did arrive with an odor that strongly smells like a new box of Crayola Crayons. We "aired" her out for two weeks, but the smell did not disappear entirely. It is a very chemical odor. Her skin tone is not a healthy pink like most baby dolls, but to me it did not look a sickly green like another viewer said, just not a "peaches and cream" look. While the dolls right hand has the thumb molded to look like it should be a thumb-sucking doll ( her mouth is also slightly open). She really was not the model designed for thumb-sucking (some customers have said it is frustrating that the thumb does not stay in the mouth). My daughter said that the "Mommy's Delight" model of this Middleton baby is the true thumb-sucking model. The mouth on the Mommy's Delight model is more open. The Cuddle Baby Face doll comes in a box and is tightly strapped in several places with that plastic strapping. I would suggest undoing all the strapping so that your little one can immediately pick up and cuddle the doll. It takes awhile to get everything undone! Also, air the doll out as much as possible before giving it as a gift. I would purchase the doll again...only wish she did not come with the strong odor.

My daughter loves this doll!!!! Initially, I was a little freaked out about her coloring. She is very light/white. Almost like sickly. But like I said she loves it. We bought it as a practice baby for her new sister before she was born and she instantly took to being her mommy. The doll if kinda heavy but my daughter is five so she was ok lugging it around. Now six months later the doll can fit her sisters old baby clothes (newborn and 0-3 months) so she has an extensive wardrobe.

This is a beautiful baby doll. Her features, expression, eyes and hair are very lifelike. My granddaughter was so excited when she unwrapped her this Christmas. I was disappointed that we could not get the doll's thumb to fit in her mouth, nor any size pacifier, though it is advertised to take both. Also, fabric comes down to the calves and lower arms then change to vinyl. It would have been nicer for the vinyl to go above knees and elbows to make the doll more lifelike with dresses or short sleeves. All in all, this is a wonderful baby. I included with the doll a gown set with blanket that belonged to my granddaughter when she was an infant. So nice for the doll to be able to wear newborn size clothes!

This doll arrived totally under my expectations.I bought it for my 3 year old daughter thinking it would be just like the picture.Was completely frustrated once I saw this doll... the color is faded (she does not have rosy cheeks nor lips..) and to be quiet honest, it looks a little bit creepy.I would stick with Corolle, they are really cute and age appropriate.

40 hours spent looking for the right doll and FINALLY I found her!I read feedback until I was blind and will address the issues I'd seen prior to purchase regarding her body being off kilter. This doll is built to snuggle, not sit upright. Her legs and arms close I n baby-like when she's held in your arms, her torso has a thicker belly area and we were not put off or saw the build as a flaw.She wears newborn clothes and diapers beautifully, yes I purchased clothes that fit below the elbow and knee area for the best look.The hair was smooth and a month and many hats later continues to look beautiful.Her thumb stays in her mouth a short second but we have discovered that repeating the a action is making the t numb stay longer and longer every time.Love. This. Baby.

Ordered this doll in the past for my granddaughter. She is beautiful! Clothes are precious and wonderfully made. Ordered it again for the second time for a little niece not yet 2 years old undergoing chemo. I would recommend this doll probably for children 3 and older because she is a bit heavy for a younger child.

Harder plastic than I had thought it to be.... still nice.
