Design does not have a base template piece to screw into ceiling. Therefore it is difficult to get the light flush with the ceiling.

We used this in a laundry room. It installed fairly quickly but I think it’s a 2-person job. Not sure I could have done it alone. It’s just a great way to convert a recessed light without an electrician. I do wish there were more options for style of light. I also agree with some of the other reviews about getting the cover to lie flush with the ceiling: try as we might, we never did get it 100%. It looks good enough for our laundry room but I probably wouldn’t recommend it for anywhere formal. All in all we’re satisfied.

We gave this product a chance and tried several ways to adjust to make it hang straight from the ceiling. Due to poor craftsmanship, the threading attaches to the glass bulb at an angle, so the light hangs crooked. We contacted the seller for support and they could not exchange or supply a refund.

Light just arrived today, and I'm very happy with it! I ordered one to test and already ordered the second. Took maybe 5 minutes to set up, and is way more cost effective than replacing the recessed lighting completely. I wish there was a metal attachment to cover the hanging cord and make it hold straight, but it doesn't look terrible. I had searched online and found Amazon to be the best price for this particular model!

Purchased 3 of these. We put them in our bathroom when we staged our home for sale. It really elevated the look and made the bathroom look 10 years newer! Super easy to instal. And I like that different lightbulbs give a different look/light.

Geez, where to begin? Base plate hangs loosely from ceiling. It’s crooked. The ring that tightens the globe onto the socket missing, and I had to go to Lowe’s and buy a new one. Overpriced. Do not buy!

I searched and searched and did my research before choosing these lights. they were literally just as easy as they say. we have gotten so many compliments and everyone thinks they are expensive... i'll take it!
