Good beginner set. Great customer service
Purchased these skis for our 11 year old son so he could enjoy the trails with us. He’s 5’2 and 110 lbs, so we got 177 size. They are perfect and will fit next year as well. They are a great price to get him out in the snow. They are not as fast as our higher end skis, but he has more energy than us anyway. I didn’t realize the boots/bindings were directional until I contacted customer service about it. The bindings had his heels pointed inward, but he had the skis on the wrong feet! (Our boots and bindings are not directional, so I had no idea.) There is a little foot picture on the binding indicating which is left and right. He has had no problems since thanks to LNC sports explaining it. Their customer service is awesome!

Great for the $$
Excellent for the money! The boots clipped right into my skis with no problems, the poles are plastic and cheap but what can you expect for the price? They still work and I use them to push the boot clips down with no problem (so they are plastic but sturdy) I think this is your perfect beginner set!

Boots too wide and skis don’t glide well.
Boots are too wide and make my foot on them feel wobbly. I’m athletic. I need to feel my feet secure in a boot so I have more control of what I do with them. The skis are ok. During skiing on fresh new snow, as well as some older snow, the snow gets caught in the textured section and makes it impossible to glide. I couldn’t get the snow off, it was stuck. Even after I took them off I had a hard time getting stuck snow off. It stopped me in my tracks. They don’t work very well. For a beginner it might be nice if they are afraid of gliding too much. But they don’t work well.

Perfect for a Beginner
I wanted to try cross country skiing and was looking for an affordable entry into the sport, and this product has checked all of the boxes. The sizing chart was accurate and I have had a great time learning on these skis that last few weeks. One downside is that you have to install your own heel grip and that requires you screw a hole in each ski which requires a powerful drill and drill bit.

Great customer service, good, good-value skis
I am loving my new xc skis. Since I have gotten them for Christmas, I have skied a few times on ungroomed trails, where I had to break the trail. I skied in some pretty thick, new snow, and also on some wet snow. They have worked really well. I am very, very pleased. Also, the company has provided me with really great, above and beyond customer service. Somehow I lost one of the pole baskets and contacted the company about buying another one. They emailed back with more detailed instructions on how to attach the pole basket and then mailed me a new one free of charge. It arrived less than 4 days after my email to them.

What great value if you want to try cross country skiing
What great value if you want to try cross country skiing. Good quality. The boots are so warm! (but not sweaty). I ordered a half size larger and the fit is great.

My first time out on these, here are my ...
My first time out on these, here are my thoughts. First things first, I had ideal cross country skiing condition with a groomed base and tracks to use.1. These skis have NO glide out of the box. I would see people zip by me with little to no effort and I was wondering why I was working so hard to move. Unless I was on a decent downhill, I was constantly having to push. I am going to apply some wax for greater glide, and try them again.2. The middle of the ski is shallow, I cannot use the tracks because of this. My binding and boot was constantly hitting the side of the track and slowing me down so I could hardly move. Typically the middle is raised up more so its the side of the ski that hits the sidewall of the tracks and not your binding/shoes.
