Fresh and Delicious
The seeds are so fresh that I don' think this bag will get ground because I am snacking on them, delicious product and fast delivery. I am going to make this my regular stop, I am addicted to them already, they have a mild flavor, similar to sunflower seeds unsalted with a slight undertaste that is unfamiliar but good. I might grind my next batch in my coffee grinder and try them as a breakfast cereal.

4.5 oz were sent: about 1/3 of a sandwich size ziplock
4.5 oz. were sent. I thought the price was on the border of what I would be willing to pay for 5 oz, so to be shorted 1/2 an ounce, feels bad. The weight includes the zip lock they were sent in... The photo on this page is also misleading, showing what appears to be a nearly full small ziplock amount. The 4.5 oz. I received fill the volume of much less than half a sandwich size ziplock full.I bought these for their nutrition profile, having never tasted them before. They are slightly bitter, like sesame seed paste or old peanuts; not as pleasant to my palate as pumpkin seeds. My husband thought they had an off aftertaste.

Wow shocker I could find these Egusi mellon seeds.
I used to make this dish it is a favorite African stew but I could no longer get the seeds. What a surprise to find them on Amazon!

Too Expensive
Cost of electricity to grind this product aside, item barely filled this 244g jar. Cost of ground melon seed jar in a New England African foodstore: $4.99.
