The strap itself is pretty run of the mill but performs well. It's made of nice material, is wide enough to be comfortable and adjusts easily when you want it to but doesn't slip if you dont. The locking feature clips easily to all my guitars. I've had reports from friends who say if the strap button is extremely wide it can be a hassle clipping and unclipping, but I haven't had this issue. I've had no issues with the mechanism disengaging when i didn't want it to. Overall would thoroughly recommend, if I ever need a new strap I'll definitely be back for another one of these. I have an in ear monitor pack and wireless pack attached to the strap and need to be able to swap it all to a 2nd guitar in seconds. The strap is well made, comfortable and works really well for this purpose. The only disadvantage for me as a bass player is that the strap is narrow, and I could not find a wider version. The strap would have to attach to the rear and under the pointed part of the body.** A: Hi. Looks like the strap buttons on this guitar are similar configuration to the 335. So I would say no, the strap is not suitable for your guitar. The strap would be twisted in use.. **Q: Does the buckle come in contact with the guitar body? Will it scratch the finish?** A: I've not had any issues with using these straps on my guitars as there is either a raised section on the strap holder or in some cases a soft felt washer on the base of the strap holder. The strap usually sits in the thinner inner section of the strap holder. If you are concerned you could place a strap lock rubber disc on the strap holder between the strap and guitar. **Q: Would this work on an Alesis Vortex 2** A: If it has the same strap buttons as a guitar it should be ok **Q: Is it compatible with Yamaha silent guitar?** A: Unfortunately no.. The Yamaha 'Silent' guitar (I have one) has a strap button fixed to the back of the neck heel (much like a 335). This means the auto lock strap is twisted when you fit it to both strap buttons. Worked OK for me for years. Never used locking mechanisms of any type as I don't jump about like Pete Townshend. Tried one of these on the recommendation of Tom Bukovac (check him out), and its fantastic.
