So much better than glass or thinner metal
He had very specific needs. I also had very specific needs. We are trying to be smarter, healthier in our cooking where we can. That means no aluminum to me, and a heavier gauge pan to him. He also wanted a slightly larger size (which used to be more the standard?), and we were surprised just how hard that is becoming to find - not just in pie pans but also bread loaf pans and a plain old real 9x13! All of pur recipes are based on these industry standards, so why are all of the products shifting to smaller dimensions? It's insanity! This fit the bill. A good commercial grade, no chemicals pan. Yay. Ok..so it's aluminum. As long as we don't use it for cooking acidic things, it should be ok.

Pie over cake anytime
This pie pan makes the best pie crust. I make my dough , chill it, roll it out and put into pan, back into fridge a short time and it’s ready to bake. This metal pan makes it where it can be cold and into oven . These steps with a pan are necessary for perfect crust

American Metalcraft Aluminum Pans Are Baking Pans For The Pro!
These aluminum pans are so easy to use! The pans heat evenly. I made lemon pies from our lemon tree lemons. The pies came out great! The only issue is that these pans are somewhat larger in diameter than most pie plates. My homemade crust came out a little short to the edges of the high-walled pie pans. That was minor. The pies tasted so good!

Don't cramp mistrust whiskers!
Easy to clean. Will not interfere with your cats prize whiskers. Keep a fountain nearby. Cats love a fountain.

Deep enough for quiche
I love aluminum pans because they don't rust. I wanted a pan that was deep enough to make quiche or deep dish pies in and this works for me. I haven't had it long enough to know about longevity but will edit this review if anything goes wrong. Super happy at this point.

Did Not Work
I purchased this pan for a different use. I wanted to replace a pan used for a small bird bath. It did not work because the metal pitted and became corroded when continuously holding water.

High quality, very substantial pie tin. Should last a long time. Well worth the money.

Good buy for the price.
Not top-of-the-line, but lightweight and easy to transport to an event.
