Umi 14 Inches Solid Steel Dumbbell Bar with Spinlock Collars for standard 1" weight plates, Diameter 25mm - 27.5mm

Very good quality dumbbells. They feel nice and solid, the spinlock collars are better than other dumbbells I've used and the shape of the handle makes these much more comfortable for chest and shoulder presses than skinnier dumbbells.Unfortunately like the other reviews have mentioned, a lot of standard sized plates will slide right onto the handle of these dumbbells. I went and bought some metal washers (size M22) to put over each end, this has completely resolved the problem for me and was a very inexpensive fix. It's quite silly that they have such a design flaw but since they are the best dumbbell bars I've owned and I think they are great for the money I'm still going to give them 5 stars.

Comfy, sturdy and well built.I Would recommend.Not sure what weights others are using that they slip over the handle, they fit mine perfectly as you can see from the photos.I’d suggest using fabric or zinc tape to wrap over the handle grip to the others having the slip problem, but it is definitely not the bars fault.

These are great quality bars, very good grip, reassuring build quality and a nice weight.There is an issue as pointed out by many others, some weight plates can slide onto the handle. It's a shame, because had they tested these bars in any home gym this issue would have been flagged instantly. We all have three or four different make of weight plates.It's not a major problem though, I just use some 0.5kg York plates as bumpers (all my york plates fit) and that does the trick.Overall I'm pleased with my purchase.

Little bit pricey but all fitness equipment is now to Covid.Nice and sturdy (steel). I have no issue with weight slipping down the handle. My plates for these are standard 1". I can see how people can have issues but the fact is they must not be 1", in my time i know older weight plates can be bigger and not so much standardised etc. I am happy with this product

I don’t know what weight plates the negative reviews have been using but these bars fit pro power and mirafit plates perfectly.

Arrived very quickly !! But as you can see in the picture where the handle meets the weight it is not wide enough to stop 'SOME' weights slipping onto the handle. A rubber O ring has been supplied but this slips through the weight, thicker handles needed ! Or a washer large enough to stop the weights slipping.

- Good dumbell handles overall- I put 60kg on one (see photo), and it has not broken after use, so that "30kg" thing is more about how many reasonably sized discs you can put on, not how much weight it can actually take.- I echo that point about the handle guards being too small. Although my discs stay on, discs with slightly larger holes (not even Olympic discs) would slide onto the handle. Such a glaring design fault, but the only one on what is otherwise a good product.- (ps somebody suggested using M22 washers - you'd need ones with a bigger hole diameter than that as M22 does not fit over mine)
