Sooo, I went down to the local big box store to get a replacement threshold insert. They had one size, so I thought one size fits all. Nope, they do not.A picture of my old one compared to this on helped me know this was it. It took five minutes to install after prep. It appears to be a great product and fits perfectly.A few thoughts ...Preparation is everything. Clean the metal plate completely. I used a very slim screwdriver to get any gunk out of the tracks this product fits in. They need to be cleaned out. (I followed up with a box cutter.) Then the new strip will fit in as it should.Measure the width you need before you buy. They offer several widths.Write the product company name and item number on the bottom of the rubber strip with a permanent marker. It will help next time.

Older home, front door threshold seal was gone. After some quick education, I figured out what seal I needed. I got the 1 3/8” x 1/2” x 36” seal and it wasn’t wide enough but just about wide enough. The height and length are spot on, I think whoever installed the threshold didn’t do it right. A few dabs of construction adhesive holds it down well and should be easily removed in the future if needed. I didn't take away any stars because the part itself is 10/10 and doesn’t feel cheap.

I was thrilled to find a replacement insert for my threshold door seal…I was expecting to replace the whole unit. The rubber seal is high quality, easy to cut with a sharp blade…didn’t have to cut off much. After reading product reviews & installation notes, I took care to clean the metal base well, and I used a little soapy water as a lubricant to help with installation…it fit perfectly, and I’m very happy with the end result…a functional door seal that will last for many years!

Needed to replace an old and destroyed piece. Easy to install

I had a hard time finding the right one as this house is older. Finally found the right one. Didn't know what kind or brand threshold I had. Read reviews that said this worked for their older houses so I gave it a go. Went in easily. The hard part was taking the old one out that was hard and brittle and over 30yrs old. That took a couple hours. This went in like a glove in about a min 😮👏

It takes a lot of time and effort to get the seal installed. But once installed, it works better than the original. I had to use my heat gun to heat up the rubber so that it was pliable enough to install.

You have to be sure sash is the right one for your base but the picture is exactly what you need in order to match it up otherwise works well

Used this product to replace a damaged threshold for my customerAnother contractor replaced the original Threshold with 2 36 inch thresholds, they were of different height and the left door did not seal properly. I ordered this thresholds vinyl replacement to replace the old vinyl in the old frameVinyl was very tight to pull through, sprayed soap in the tracks while pulling. Overall perfect replacement for the old threshold. I would recommend this product.

Easy to install. Fit our 1 1/4" threshold. Just needed to cut to fit our shorter door width. Would buy again. 5 stars.
