My younger cousins loved it and now they think I'm cool!
I purchased a copy of this book for my cousins (ages 8 & 10) and they both loved it! They tell me they are both anxiously anticipating the next book in the series, “Camp”. As a longtime fan of Kayla Miller's independent comics, it was exciting to see their unique perspective applied to content for young audiences. It was refreshing to read a story about a character like Olive who doesn’t "fit in" but isn't explicitly ostracized as a social pariah—Olive HAS friends, she just doesn't have "best" friends. Even though the story centers on a character who feels like she doesn't know where she belongs, this feeling is universal. Everyone has felt like this at some point in their life, ESPECIALLY in middle school. I love the pacing of this book, particularly the way moments are allowed to breathe. Some of my favorite parts of the book are scenes with minimal dialog where the story is carried forward based on the characters' expressions and the setting. Each environment is illustrated with personality and attention to detail, helping readers become invested in Olive's world and problems. The dynamics between Olive's classmates and the complicated relationship between Olive's pragmatic mother and the more "oddball" Aunt Molly, leave me wanting to know more about these characters. Which is good, because more is on the way! I highly recommend you share "Click" with the young readers in your life.

Awesome, just left on a Cliffhanger!
Hey! This book is awesome. So far, I’ve loved your books to pieces! The coloring, the writing, and the way it’s written is just- AHHHH!!! It’s bumpy, like hills. Up, down, Up, down, Up, down…Olive felt lonely when she wasn’t picked in a group, and felt left out. She needed an idea- like yours! I love the idea of shoving in some old comedy shows… I know there not “ really “ comedy, but they kind of are! Hit me up! Just one bad thing…left on the biggest Cliffhanger I think I’ll ever read! It’s just.. I know it takes a while to draw and write, but still. It felt like eating half an ice cream cone, then dropping the rest. Total ouch. But, it’s still awesome. Keep up the good-work!

Friends
Friends are not all the same and I was really pleased that so many types were shown here and that you didn’t have to be one type to be cool. It was nice to know that kids are being encouraged to be individuals and grow along their own paths. It is scary to see how much parents can make things hard for their own children.
