The Husq/Kohler fuel shutoff solenoid for the carburetor on my engine was $90. I wasn't about to spend that so I had rigged it to always be open and put a shutoff valve inline so I could use the mower. That worked great except every now and then I'd forget to close it when I was finished mowing and it cost me a couple tanks of gas.This Carburetor ended that! For $25 I was replaced the whole thing and it works great. I still have some fine tuning to get it adjusted so it low idles right, but it runs great under power and load, so I'm happy! I'm cutting grass like a champ again with no fuel loss from forgetfulness!FWIW, this is not a difficult change. I'm a computer network tech, not a mechanic, so how hard can it be?

This replaced the original OEM version on my Cub Cadet tractor which after regular occurring starting problems had just refused to start at all. This was a relatively easy install and so far has solved the problem. The only small modification I had to make was to drill out the small hole where the throttle control rod attaches. The diameter of the hole was very slightly to small. Aside from that very minor caveat I am very pleased with my purchase.

Put this on mower started right up no problems. Only this is it didn't have the gaskets, had to go to lawn mower shop to get some.

When your lawn tractor quits for no apparent reason, you can take it to a repair shop and $ 100 +, or you can order a carb kit with all the supporting items for $ 23.99, put an hour into changing the carb and you've saved $ 75 +. It's quite satisfying to find a grainy brown substance in the gas in the carb and the bottom of the fuel tank and know that you saved your lawn tractor for mere fraction of what it might have cost! (Oh yeah, you'll still be very pissed about whoever put the stuff in the gas!)

Replacing the worn out carb on the riding mower was easy. Found out this new carb leaks fuel where the float bowl meets the carb body. Not good. So now I get to remove the carb and probably find there's no proper seal making it useless without a fix. Hopefully I can fix it. Others have had success with this carb so hoping I would too, but some do have issues with the carb, like me.

This worked great and was way cheaper than what cub cadet wanted for it !!

These carbs normally work as they should. I have a mower repair shop and use then all the time. Unfortunately the 4 that I got in today did not have the gaskets with them as pictured. Any carb installed without gaskets is not going to work properly.
