The Bonsai Bible: The definitive guide to choosing and growing bonsai Kindle Edition

This book came packaged well. It is much more detailed than I expected and has a lot of information, including species and pictures. It seems good for anyone who is interested in the art of Bonsai, whether new or experienced. I am a beginner and found it easy to understand and I would expect someone who knows Bonsai might use this "bible" as an informative reference.

Nice book for beginners. Do wish it would've provided information for over wintering the bonsai.

CRITICAL ommision is present: toxic/irritant/allergenic info is not clearly stated in plants descriptions i.e. for Taxus it's stated (in small font of image description yet!) that berries are poisonous but leaves are toxic too! Ligustrum (used as indoor bonsai where child or pet could chew it) is listed as Very toxic, Irritant, Allergenic in "Poisonouse and Ivasive Plants in Australia" by WWF but not a word in this book...Otherwise the book contains a bit of general information on choosing a plant, place, minimal tools and materials for bonsai - about 40 pages in total (NO info on styles, etc).Then quite a number of two page descriptions of every specie used for bonsai and all the basic know how on it - description, hardines, sun, water, repotting, wiring, prunning.

I love this book. It's got great information with really nice pictures. It has pretty much all of the information needed in regard to bonsai's. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone trying to get into Bonsai or even if you just enjoy a book with beautiful pictures.

Peter book is a nice book in general. You get a feel of what kind of tree you can use.No, money tree.😩

I am a total beginner at bonsai and this book is a super reference for me. Peter Chan is a Bonsai Master and I follow him on YouTube. This book is a "go to" before I purchase or touch a tree. I will definately add more books by Mr. Chan to my reference library.

Not far into it yet, but it's easy to read, informative and I can tell it will be handy to keep close. It covers all the plants good for bonsai in detail, much like an encyclopedia with a well written beginners section to start it off. Money well spent for a first book into Bonsai.

Excelente libro con ilustraciones de calidad y una clasificación muy útil para encontrar, rápidamente, el árbol que buscas. la parte introductoria es muy concisa pero, al mismo tiempo, muy útil.Ya lo he regado a un par de amigos que se inician en el arte del Bonsaí.
