I remember my Mom sitting me down and introducing me to crocheting with this Red Heat Mexicana yarn. It is so colorful and cheerful, I've figured out ways to use it for years. It makes very cheerful placemats and coasters by the way--also great gifts for any occasion. Glad Red Heart had the sense to not discontinue this color pattern, unfortunately they discontinue so many beautiful color combinations. With job recovery happening I think they should bring a lot of colors back including their Stars N Stripes variegation--the new Americana is an ugly replacement--go figure who might be in the marketing department? Anyway, Mexicana is a life-long favorite and I will always use this beautiful yarn.
