This is a great GBC binding machine. It is lightweight, yet sturdy, and very easy to use. It is easy to adjust for different sizes of paper. It is NOT made to punch 30 sheets of paper at a time (like the big, heavy GBC machines). This is made for small jobs. I have had no problem at all punching up to 8 sheets at a time. Very nice that it came with 100 combs. They are small combs, which should be a clue to the consumer that small jobs are where this machine shines. You can certainly do 100+ page projects, but be aware that you will spend a little time punching the holes. This is perfect for a small, home business like mine.

I use this for my real estate closing packets. Love the price! It’s really easy to use. But do not put too many papers because it will be hard for you to punch the pages. But overall great!

TLDR: I've had never used one of these things and it works just fine. Setup: easy, comes with an extra stippled thumb screw for the handle. I recommend taping it to the bottom so you don't lose it. Screw on the handle. Punch some holes into the provided cardboard to remove oil from manufacturing and you're good to go. Hole punch: It cut through one sheet of poly back cover fine. It cut through one sheet of PVC cover just fine. I didnt even try it with multiple sheets of those. For paper, it says it can cut up to 12 at a time, I did like 6 to 8 because it was easier to manage. The more sheets you use the more chances of mistakes (misalignment) which means more printing. Binding: can be frustrating, but I found that setting the Binding ring to the far left is best. I made five-35pg booklets. Use something like the styrofoam that came in the package to create a more level surface for the papers. Open the rings. Set your back cover into the rings and lay it down on the foam, I tried inserting all pages and couldn't do it right away so I started inserting 10 pages at a time, it was difficult to maintain what I already had set when I tried to add more. I got it eventually but this way was most frustrating. I went back to inserting all the pages at once and I found the technique that worked for me. Open the binder rings wide, put the pages at a 90* angle to the binder rings and close the rings so they insert into the holes then lay the papers down and reopen the rings a bit and add the front cover. I definitely got faster with each booklet.

Amazon flagged this item for its high return rate. I took time to read some of the reviews and decided to make the purchase. I am very happy with this binder machine. Out did not have instructions so I had to look up a you tube video. Once I figured out out, it was very easy to use and works perfectly for my needs. I learned that only about 8 pages at a time can be cut, else the machine will jam. I had 70-page books to create, so it was slow going. The features were not explained so I had to learn how to along the paper for good, even hole punches. Made several hole punch errors before i got the hang of it. So practice on blank paper several times before working your project. Just take your time and the machine does a terrific job. I recommend this product for your smaller binder book projects.

We are home School. I was trying to find another way of finding lesson plans and answer keys together and regular binders seem to break so this year we are giving us a try and I bought this. I think I found 10 different sets together of course in my picture the two big bonded ones. I believe you have to order the 2 inch but the little ones are the ones that came with the binder and then I ordered the clear in the black plastic dividers. But my machine definitely had to work out on doing all these it did what it was supposed to do. It took a little bit of figuring out on my end, but once I got to hang of it, it was pretty simple to use. Very easy to assemble. It’s all simple except with the handle you just gotta put the handle on.

The hole puncher unfortunately stopped working after just a few uses. It can no longer be pressed down, and there are loose parts rattling around inside, so it seems something in the internal mechanism may have broken. The parts also feel a bit flimsy, and we found the puncher difficult to use. We reached out to customer support, but so far the main suggestion has been to check whether it was assembled correctly. We’ve double-checked the assembly, and it’s quite straightforward, so that doesn’t appear to be the issue. We were hoping for more helpful troubleshooting or a solution from support. Unfortunately, between the product breaking so quickly and the lack of assistance, this has been a disappointing experience. No replacement, will reach out to Amazon instead.

I was a little worried initially, a couple of the combs were bent when I took the unit out of the box, but I was able to bend them back with my hand. Otherwise, I followed the instructions to punch at least 7 sets of holes in the cardboard that came with the unit to remove the manufacturing oil. I did about 10 sets to be safe. I quickly punched and bound a PDF manual I printed off a couple weeks ago using the 19 hole setting for 8.11 x 11 sized paper and voila. Worked perfectly. The density/weight/thickness/composition of the paper will determine how many sheets you can punch. I'd say maybe 10-11 sheets at 20 weight max per punch (to be safe & not break anything) and it goes down from there as the weight increases. You can certainly punch cardstock and 10 mil lamination, I punched 10 mil laminated 40 weight cardstock without issue but you'll be punching one page at a time. The handle is easily removed for storage and the spacing appears equal with the punch and comb. All in all for household and light office/school use this is a fine machine. The housing is plastic but mechanically inside when I took a peek, everything appeared to be metal. So with care and not over exertion, this machine should last. Just to stress, this is not a high capacity, high volume office unit, this is a home/small office/light school use binding machine, it's great for small projects and light/occasional use but if you're going to be putting together dozens of books a day or want to punch 40 or 100 sheets at a time, don't get this. I highly recommend this unit.
