Would be perfect if the manga wasn't so fast paced.
This manga is great for fans of Danganronpa especially Nagito Komaeda fans because it shows everything from Nagito's viewpoint. The manga basically goes straight into the Killing Game. It is extremely fast paced but it does show scenes that we didn't get to see in the game and we also get to see Nagito interact with all the characters, not just Hajime. It also explains his drastic behavior and why he goes to such extreme measures for the sake of "hope" other than his diseases. I loved how they explained why Nagito acted like he did in Chapter 1 of the game and gave him emotion instead of just making him a hope obsessed psycho like people make him out to be. This is an interesting character insight and it is a good series if you want a quick refresher on the game but don't have time to play it. It would be even better if they had more detail and didn't jump into the Killing Game as fast. I was amazed by how it only took one day for the book to get to my house. Overall, this is well worth the money.

A good introduction to one of the best game series of all time!!
I have bought and read all the English variations (and even Japanese) of the manga Danganronpa that has come out. One thing I will say is that if you are looking for NEW content that was not shown in the original game on PS Vita or PS4, then you won't find it in this introduction of the events of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. But, if you are an avid supporter and fan of the series such as me, you will still appreciate the fact that they even chose to start this sequel (which in my opinion is far better than the 1st). The first games English manga adaptation had more conversations and events that weren't shown in the respected game than this one, but you can still feel the love the author/illustrator put into the book. I recommend it to any die hard/casual Danganronpa fan. It isn't like it is going to break your bank for the cost of admission!!

Disappointed overall
If you were like me and expecting more than a re-telling of the events of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, then prepare to be disappointed. The advertised "bonus scenes" are nothing special. The art and English translations are decent enough, but I'm not going to waste time or money investing in future volumes.

It's pretty alright
I genuinely enjoy the DR series, and the second game is by far my favorite game in the series. That being said, I thought it was really interesting to see things through Nagito's POV rather than Hajime's. The art is really nice, too. However, the pacing is pretty bad. I expected it since they had to condense such a vast game into a manga series, but boy, was it rough to read. I still enjoyed it and will most likely get the other volumes.

My daughter gives two thumbs up
My daughter really loves these books. Came way sooner than expected. She doesn't really read books cover to cover but she did with this one and a few others on here. I would definitely buy from again.

A new Killing Game begins, and so does a new manga adaption!
A new group of students attend the infamous Hope's Peak Academy... only to find themselves whisked off to a tropical island paradise! And just when things seemed to get odd, a certain teddy bear appears and announces that a new Killing Game has begun...I really enjoyed the adaption of the first Danganronpa game and anime, so I decided to give this series a go, and I loved the first volume. Excited to read the next one!

fun for fans of the series
i enjoyed reading this but wouldn't recommend if you haven't watched/played danganronpa 2 as it isn't written as well as of course it is much shorter so cuts out a good bit. also i do dislike the over sexualisation of the female characters in this manga which isn't really present in the game, and monokumas dialogue is written in a peculiar accent too. apart from that it's a fun thing to own and read as a fan, especially a nagito fan as you get a little bit more backstory on him and for example in the first case (without spoiling) you get to see why he did the things he did and how all that happened, which i quite enjoyed.ALSO if you are curious this manga goes from the start of the game to the middle of the first trial.(then the second manga continues from there until near the end of the second trial and the third and final one goes until the end kind of but from nagito's perspective)

It's good but...
I didn't even know there was a book of Danganronpa and when I got it a day later, I was truly impressed. Every thing was in detail and no laziness was spotted. Took me a short time to read but it was worth it. Also, just to point out, Fuyuhiko was written poorly and that's a shame since he's one of my favourites. They've completely changed is way of talking. He says stuff like "WHAT THE FRICKIN' HELL" and "YOU BETTER SHUT 'DAT MOUTH". He doesn't say these exact things but it's something that he *would* say in the book. I also love on how they gave us more stuff revolving around Nagito's backstory and stuff that wasn't in the game like, Nagito pulling Hajime's ahoge. Just a heads up, I recommend buying all the books since at the end of each one, they give us a cliffhanger. I would definitely recommend.
