Another great book by Wendy Alec
This is the third book in the series by Wendy Alec that I have read. It is by far the easiest book to read and it is quite superb in its story line and details of characters and places in the World. The history, plot and imagination are great. This is what makes the book truly spectacular. In regards to the truth and prophecy of the book, I have faith that there is an End of Days and that Jesus will come and defeat Satan as shown in the book of Revelation in the Bible. Wendy has made an amazing comparison of spiritual, religious and Worldy politics into one story that shows the history of the Biblical scripture. I believe that God has given her his Word to release information to the people of this World so that we can understand the 'truth' or rationale behind the politics that we see everyday. We need to make sense of it all, especially when it is hidden and deceived by the evil powers of the World. It is shown clearly in this book, that the spiritual evil powers exist in human form and they are controlling the World through their plans and politics. To go through the story would take away the meaning as it is for the reader to understand each character and his role in the politics and history that is being unravelled. With additional quotes at the end of the book and some papers on the deceit of government from the Cuban missile crisis in the 1960s, this book shows tactics of evil and their mindset against the good. From black ops, to false flags, to conspiracies, it makes the real World more understandable and sensible. The truth is out there. Just look for it. This book is a credit to life. It is a credit to God and his mysterious works for the love of his people. It is shown here in this book. A great work again.

Soooo Gooood!
It must be said: Best Novel Ever. There, I said it. Having read this book 3 times already, I am thrilled to FINALLY have it on my Kindle! If you loved the first book, The Fall of Lucifer--heck, even if you hated it--you'll love this one. The slow, brooding evil that was felt throughout 'Fall' is amplified here. In this story, instead of angels, we have 3 earthly brothers that mirror the heavenly ones, but unlike the first book, all of the human brothers are imperfect, and (you guessed it) one of them is the Antichrist. Even though it's obvious from the get-go who the Son of Perdition is, it's still an exciting journey making the discovery though the characters' eyes. The way that Wendy Alec weaves her "faction" story together is nothing short of magical. It's biblical, and any fellow Christian can see that Wendy actually understands what she's writing about. When she borrows from the Bible, you can tell there's respect for the source material.Although, if you're someone who's turned off by Christian novels, don't be afraid of this one. This is written for a general audience (I think non-Christians will enjoy the book more, actually). The characters are real and relatable, with all their imperfections glowing clear and visible. I was surprised to find that the human characters were even more interesting than the angelic ones! The ending on this one is a perfect teaser for the next installment -- Congratulations, Wendy; you've made me completely obsessed with getting my hands on the next book!If you hate cliffhanger endings that make you shout, "No way! No way! No way!" --stay away from this book. I happen to like those kinds of endings, which is why I was shouting.

Biblical Inaccuracy of ALL 4 BOOKS.
the story is good. mental pictures of Heaven and Hell are great. I was overwelmed many times as i read all 4 books. But the Biblical accuracy is totally off in every area of the books. i will list a few. Lucifier was not an archangel. the angels that fell with him and were cast out were never allowed to repent and be restored to Heaven. Lucifier would never been allowed to spit in Jesus face in Heaven before or after he concered the cross. the Rapture is put at MID Tribulation which is false. the first 3 1/2 years or 42 months were completly skipped because of ths point. Angels are immortal but they loose there heads in battle. she said that Angels entered the herd of swine. Angels can't possess anything because they have a body. the disembodied or evil spirits or demons if you will can possess these went into the swine this is every thing that died in the flood and the pre Adamite world sa mentioned in Peter. lucifier was the 5th cherib around the throne before his fall. book 2 page 284 the Angels do not walk by faith, they are already in His presence thats is also why there is no redemption for them. we walk by faith ( belief in things unseen ) Satan did not demand of God that Jesus fast 40 days before his temptation. Jesus did this for power from the throne. the list could go on. THIS FOLLOWES THROUGH ALL 4 BOOKS. THE BOOKS STILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO CONVICT THE SOUL FOR JESUS. IT PAINTS BEAUTIFUL PICTURES OF HEAVEN ALSO ALARMING PICTURES OF HELL I WOULD STILL HAVE MY UNSAVED LOVED ONES READ THIS SERIES. MELVIN SIMS

Wonderful imagery
I thoroughly enjoyed this book there were a couple of times I had to stop because at times it seemed like a boom of fact. Her blending of the book of revelation into a modern dah scene was brilliant and her use of imagery really transported you to heaven or Hell depending on the scene. Many have attempted to write novels about the end times and most come off as unbelievable thus book is not one of them. Loved if. Can't wait to read the next one.

Couldn't stop reading.
This is the first book in the brothers series. It's a sort-of continuation of the Books of Brother, time before time. However you can read this book without having read the time before times books. It's a completely different take on the period in time known as "the tribulation period" . There are a lot of twists and turns. Things that will surprise you. But always making you want to read the next page. I do not necessarily agree with the authors idea of how she thinks this period in time will happen, however it's still an excellent read. I'm getting ready to read book two. It will be interesting to see how it all comes together.

Loved it - well recommended
I loved the first two books so I don't know why it's taken me this long to read this one.I felt this book had a much darker tone than the other books. I think this was because most of the book is set in our lifetime, with events and places we can immediately connect with. This gave the events a much darker and personal theme which left me feeling a lot of trepidation of what was coming (and to come). Especially considering how these events were re-written to suggest even darker plots. Most of the story takes place on Earth so there is less time spent with the angelic/fallen. I loved seeing the ethereal side of things from the first two books, so I greatly missed that. I understood why--the events on Earth were vastly important and us not seeing them leaves us also guessing what plans are taking place. As always I love the amount of thought Wendy Alec puts into these. So many complicated stories taking place, how they each impact the events of the present and future, and the clever way she withholds information to leave you questioning the real intent.I also just love how these books make me think about faith. What faith and redemption mean, and if humanity can actually achieve it or if we're all just doomed to hell no matter what we do. I love these kind of books because they make you think. Even if all you're reading is one person's perspective, you might find something that challenges what you believe (or don't believe) in. And in these books in particular, which include the views of the angels and the fallen, I end up thinking about them too, rather than just the human perspective.

Should be Young Adult Fiction
It's a great story - angels and demons interfering with the affairs of men. It's fast paced and the plot twists this way and that, but never so fast that you lose track of where you are. The characters are 3 dimensional and warm, and consistent. And deep down inside, the world that Alec writes about is complete and coherent, with a past and a future and a very tangible and real present. So why don't I really enjoy reading it?The style of writing is cliched and stilted. Everyone strides everywhere (one person/ angel even managed to stride whilst riding a horse!). Everyone's reaction to anything that happens is "Ashen". A great one-word sentence that reduces the average words per sentence, but lacking in variety. Couldn't some people be Stunned, or Shaken, or Confused, or Pale? The angels and demons are just a little too powerful - man can do nothing to stop them. The conspiracy theory (the whole of mankind is caught up in the lies that twist their beliefs) needs some sort of counterfoil, that actually some people stand up against it not through special knowledge or faith, but just sheer cussedness. And events unfold in an unstoppable way that takes the suspense and fun out of it - if you've read Revelations then you know what's coming next, and after that, and so on for seven seals.Perhaps the world will end this way. I don't think so. I think the book of Revelations applies at a global and a personal scale, but that for me, the personal scale is the more relevant.

Nearly but not quite for me
Firstly I should state that I read the series of books as fiction based on biblical evidence which may or may not be true, - my opinion of this is not relevant to my review. I am not making a judgement over those that believe Wendy Alec's books to be prophecy, - thankfully we all have different interpretations of things that we read, see and hear.Secondly I will state that to take on this subject is extremely brave not least because it will raise extreme opinions on both sides of the spectrum but also because it is itself a massive subject matter. The first 2 books in the series I enjoyed, - certainly the first book with wonderful description of heaven and Lucifer's chosen path was very interesting to read. - The second book was a good interpretation of well documented event and as such was very interesting and emotionally portrayed. BUT this 3rd book was hard going because it had 2 very distinct styles to it and flitted between the 2 with the narrative of earth and then heaven. I understand that the story had to develop in this way as it was reaching a crescendo between heaven and earth but the fact that this book took me a while to read and it is the last part of the trilogy tells me something. As an aside - by comparison the last book of the Northern Lights series was un-put-down-able. In saying that this 3rd book does have to be read and I can think of no other way of completing what is a very difficult story to tell. Up until the last page I was thinking that this was a trilogy, - it appears that there is more to tell as this book does not reach a conclusion! If you find the subject matter interesting then do go for it and read the series you will be enlightened certainly by the first 2 books. Myself it was not a 5 star series because this 3rd book did not come up to expectations, but as I said at the beginning thankfully we are all different.

Very good and very bad!
I have read all three of the books in the series so far, and I am really split down the middle as to what I think of these novels.I was certainly gripped, and so the author has succeeded in producing a fast moving page-turner. The author has made me hungry for the next instalment! Yet, I felt that the editing and punctuation was lacking, with repetition of adjectives and bad paragraphing. All three novels need a good editor and proof reader. As to content, you need to be familiar with the pre-millennial teaching of the Bible in order to fully understand the plot, as no explanation is given. I am uneasy with the blend of Scripture with Tolkienesque fantasy. How can anyone describe heaven and hell? The author has a go, lifting scenes straight from the Book of Revelation, but I'm afraid the overall picture didn't work for me. Some of the angels are portrayed as Grumpy Old Men, one wearing a monocle, and "underlings" who fall over themselves and make mistakes. The attempt at humour doesn't hit home for me. The Land of Narnia comes to mind (which the author does refer to, by suggesting that the transition from the spiritual realm to the earth is like going through C.S.Lewis's wardrobe). The earth-bound scenes were more to my liking. The human characters are more believable, and better drawn. There are some really moving passages, such as the crucifixion scene. The third novel is focusing on the rise of the Anti-Christ, and ends just before the Rapture (which the author places halfway through the Tribulation) so no doubt that event will follow in the next book.So do I recommend these novels? Well, as I have said, they kept me up late! But I do have reservations about the mixed bag of pre-millennial theological interpretion of Scripture and fantasy, and the uneven quality of writing.

THE BEST ONE YET!
I'm from America, and have been hooked on the series since the release of THE FALL OF LUCIFER. When I found out that book 3 was released in the UK, I knew I had to order it right away (there was no way I could wait another 3 months for the USA release!)When it arrived in the mail, I literally scream with excitement. The book is fast-paced, with multiple story lines weaved together (read as much per setting as possible). Also, it's like the 'Chronicles' series becomes completely new with the story coming to a future earth in the year 2021. With book 1 and 2, one gets used to the angelic/heavenly part of the story from Lucifer's fall to the Crucifixion, but here the story revolves around 3 earthly brothers. I was pleasantly surprised to find that human characters are more interesting. (Watch out for twists and turns!)If you hate cliffhanger endings that make you shout, "No way! No way! No way!" - stay away from this book. I happen to like those kinds of endings, which is why I was shouting.
