Best book on this subject since knowing melech Yshuah in 43 years. If you have been leary of this topic, and some of the kookiness that passes as the real deal, BE AFEARED NO MO!! Not only sound scripturally (I have read the whole Bible through 45-50 times, and have taught for 43 years (my beginnings teaching were not so hot; it took awhile to get grounded), but I ran into a unique pastor who taught me how to read 30 chapters of the Bible a day in a very fun fashion. So, I did that for 3 years straight as a young follower of our awesome Christos. That is 8 times a year for 3 years=24 times in that 3 years. You become a walking concordance. You have to teach or explode!! But I had to obviously grow into all that reading. I then slowed it down to study-speed. What a journey of being able to detect error. Praying medic is my hero in his balance and easy applicability. I started walking this book out within a few days. I had started walking this way at the beginning in 1980, but didn't understand how God was talking, though it was dramatic. So it somewhat slipped. I later was lied to by cessationists. But then in early 2000, I started again, and saw much fruit, but started getting quenched by those who misappropriate the gifts. Their teachings were so anti-doctrinal, and then the crazy growth of the NAR new Apostolic reformation turned it all into a sham. I soon felt like just staying in just studying, witnessing, teaching as I had been, without some of the gifts. This book has brought the true balance. I first heard it on audible, and had to get the book, cuz of writing down so many notes, I needed the physical copy. Like I said, applicability is Dave, the praying medic's calling card. This book helped me understand God. I have always enjoyed my walk with God but many things have puzzled me. I'm looking forward to testing some of these principles out to have a better connection with Him. Many of his suggestions I've been using for years and find them truly helpful. Where do I start?Lets us start with the testimony of Praying Medic. One of the best things I feel an author can do is open up and be transparent, It was such a heart warming story of how a staunch atheist became of follower of Jesus. Like the the author CS Lewis, that Praying Medic admires, it is often people who were once in opposition to the Christian faith who become the best teachers of the Christians. It is a noted fact that many inventors who come up with amazing inventions in an industry come from OUTSIDE the industry they end up inventing in. They simply see error in how people are doing things and come up with a solution.Praying Medic then goes onto declare the fact of the Good Shepherd Parable and the fact that Jesus said, His sheep hear His voice. There are many Christians that teach that you can't hear Jesus or God speak today and the only place He speaks is in the Bible. The author then goes on to dispel some the popular myths that prevent people from trying to hear from God. He does this with not one hint of condemnation for people that teach this myths, he simply points out that they are in error.As a person that has been hearing God for 40 years since I was a child and as a writer myself, I had often pondered if I was called to write a book about hearing God speak. I was fascinated that Praying Medic heard God's call to write on the subject and I was counting down the days to the time that this book was released. I wanted to see if a person that couldn't hear from God would really be able to hear from God after reading it. The book was so comprehensive I felt that I was at a smorgasbord. Every chapter of this exciting book covered one more aspect of hearing from God and took me places that astounded me.As a prophet, I have written two books on the gift of prophecy, and so my test of a book is if the author can write on what I know good enough to impress me. I am just about to get my third book on the prophetic done, and I feel like borrowing and quoting his whole chapter of prophecy in my new book. I have been surprised so much at his handing of a gift I have been walking in for twenty years, that is just proves that this book is a treasure trove of wisdom.You'll be surprised at this authors easy to read writing style, his skill as an author, his transparency and his ability to teach comprehensively on this subject. I think sometimes we should be able to vote 10 stars!I wholeheartedly commend this work of art to you!PSIt has been some weeks since I read this book initially and now I have returned and read it again. It is my desire to share with you, that this book should be read, and savoured. There is much too much to this book just to read once. In it the author shares very helpful information. This time through it, I was even more pleasantly touched by the authors willingness to be transparent in his life. Finding out that Praying Medic didn't think people understood him for most of his life was a surprise to me. Important reading material

Inspirational and well written. Focuses on our communication with the divine. Allowing us to recognize a deeper understanding in our relationship with Christ.

There's a lot of knowledge in this writing. And its up to others how to utilize it in our lives. I believe the world would be a better place if we chose to heal ourselves and others. Faith and Love.

If you desire to flow in communication with the Holy Spirit at all times so that you are an instrument the Father can use to minister to a hurting world, this book removes the “religious terminology” and gives practical everyday guidance.

Excellent teaching book. Good exercises after most chapters and they work. I’ve had two memorable dreams since reading the book and I’m getting more visions and words of knowledge as well. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to know God better.

The title of the book definitely describes the content perfectly. The author gives plenty of examples which people can draw from, I would definitely recommend this book to those who with have difficulty hearing Gods voice or new believers starting their journey with God

I love Praying Medic's Books. I have most of them and highly recommend his simple honest approach to understanding the Kingdom of God.

I thought this book was excellent. It also gives exercises to do which are very helpful. I will definately buy other books by this author.
