Joan Elliott's Native American Cross Stitch Hardcover – October 1, 2005

Excellent design compendium. Multiple levels and combinations.

I was happy to be able to own my own copy of this book. I had seen it at the library, and fell in love with the patterns. The book was listed as "used" but looks new to me. I received it much quicker than expected. I will buy from them again! Very happy, all the way around.

When Joan Elliot hits her mark, she creates absolutely elegant designs that are a joy to stitch. After completing a few items from her Oriental Odyssey I was excited to try out these designs and have just fallen in love with it!The beautiful image from the cover has a companion male warrior. There are very charming (without being overly-cute) designs for a birth sampler, baby blanket, bibs and more. There is a fantastic alphabet sampler - each letter with gorgeous Indian motifs (a wolf for W, Kokopelli for K, etc).Also included are a number of sayings and blessing, such as a grand wedding blessing, and "wisdom cards" with such unique statements as "live strong as the mountains" and "walk tall as the trees."I highly recommend this collection of elegant designs - stitchers of all levels will find something that will set you at peace while you stitch.

Bought as a thank you gift for one of my cousins. She made this for me! So talented and turned out beyond words.

Joan Elliott is my favorite designer. So, of course in my opinion anything she designs is going to rate very high as far as colors and the designs themselves. She puts so much love and emotion into her work that everything turns out fabulous. The book went way above my expectations because everything in there was original and the mixture of colors was more than expected. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes Native American designs because they will definitely get more than they expected.

The book arrived in excellent condition without any markings, and I am so happy to include it in my collection of books on needle - crafts, AND looking forward to stitching one of the patterns next year!

Many smaller size and well done American Indian cross stitch charts by the wonderful Joan Elliott. Good beading suggestions and lovely southwest color choices. Hardcover and in very good condition.

I didn't realize I had ordered it from a book store out of the states until it arrived within 7 VERY SHORT days. This book looks and feels brand new. VERY pleased with my purchase and the store I bought it from. OH yea, the designs by Joan Elliott look very nice. I am excited to start working on a few alphabet projects. Happy Sailing!

数少ないNATIVE　AMERICANをテーマとした30点あまりの作品を収容したクロスステッチチャートブックです。今までに色々集めた中で一番じゃないかと思われます。表紙の女性像も色合いが素敵ですが、詩を題材にした絵画的なもの、ネイティヴ関連アルファベットサンプラー、キッズ向けの小動物チャート、サウスウエストの美しい野生花等々…デザインの一部分だけ使った小物のアイディア等、大作はちょっと大変という方にもお勧めです。お手本と全く同じように作ろうと思ったら日本では手に入りにくい素材を使っていたりしますがそこは自分でやりくりして楽しみつくそうと思ってます。基本的にはDMCの糸で何とかなりますし。お値段もちょっと高いかな…と思いますがチャート数を考えると妥当な価格だと思われます。

very clean book, beautiful charts for cross stitching.

I bought this book as I love Joan Elliott designs. I was not disappointed with the contents. Having done the "Indian Warrior" I started the "Indian Maiden" when I realised as I was counting the stitches that something was amiss. On pages 11 & 13 one complete inner end line is missing from the grid. This is not easy to follow even for an experienced stitcher. I have informed David & Charles & await a reply.
