Final battle against Mulgarath
For fantasy books, it is difficult to put border who shall see the "fantasy" in the reality of the books. First it was only the Grace children, then they found their great aunt Lucy can see fairy. Then it is their mother. This book wraps up the battle against Mulgarath and the encounter of long lost relative Arthur Spiderwick himself. The series do not let you down.

Shape Shifting Surprises!
The final book in the Spiderwick Chronicles series did not disappoint us. We thought it was awesome! Holly Black’s descriptive writing really made it easy to picture the scenes, actions, and characters clearly in our imaginations. The author also stays true to her characters throughout the series. Mallory is fierce, brave, and trusting. Simon is the caretaker of creatures. Jared is the clever one who can never be fooled. These traits save their lives again and again. The character of Mulgarath keeps you guessing. Mulgarath’s shape shifting comes into play in the creepiest way and readers will be surprised by his skills. Only Jared figures out what he’s up to and Mulgarath’s end is definitely unexpected!Best of all, readers will finally get the answers to all their Spiderwick questions. Why do the creatures want the Guide? Will Aunt Lucinda live in the asylum forever? What happens to Uncle Arthur? Why did Uncle Arthur write the Guide? What happens to the Guide????? You’ll never know what will happen if you don’t read this book….Written by Anna (8 yrs. and Mom)

Good finish
In the Wrath of Mulgarath, the Grace children face their worst foe yet, Mulgarath the Ogre. They must foil his plot to take over the world, save an unexpected hostage (or two), penetrate a palace of garbage, and face monsters they know and some they have not encountered yet. They will have help from an unexpected source in all of this as the balance of power in the world of Faeirie teeters on a knife's blade. There are a lot of fun moments in this last installment of the Spiderwick Chronicles, but it gets pretty intense for younger children. My kids won't be reading this until they are at least seven. Also, there is the occasional somewhat mean banter between siblings that parents will want to watch out for. Having said that, The Wrath of Mulgarath is a grand romp through fairy lore for people of all ages.

Discover a World of Fairies
Mulgarath is in charge of a fantastic world of goblins, elves, fairies. The book does a good job of putting that world realistically and accessibly next to this one.

GREAT Book
My parents and I purchased this book for my 9 year old nephew for Christmas and he loved it. He had it read by the end of the day. I was highly satisfied with my transaction, and would use this seller again, if any books or other products I was looking for became available. I was able to purchase this book for just over $5. It was definitely worth the money even if I had to spend a little more to purchase.

This particular set is my preferred printing style
Cute series for kids & adults. Our family enjoyed these over the summer as a read aloud. Quick read. Good pictures. This particular size/hardcover looks nice as a set on the bookshelf.

Exciting conclusion to the series
As with the previous instalments, this book is simply beautiful. It is presented so nicely and contains gorgeous illustrations and so looks great as part of any fantasy collection, for adults or children.I thought that this was a really nice conclusion to the series. The novel was certainly action-packed, bringing all of the characters together to fight off a frightening foe. It ties together all of the loose threads very neatly, leaving the series feeling complete and very well balanced. My only real gripe was the the wrap up chapter was very fleeting. I won't spoil it for you here but it was a little sudden and I really wish that the authors had taken more care with what could have otherwise been an incredibly moving scene (though I appreciate that this is a short book aimed at younger readers).I liked the final development for the children, particularly Jared who's character growth is really fantastic when you look back over the series as a whole. It's nice that even their mother gets involved a little in this story as she was the one character who always seemed to feel a little left out in the earlier books. It was also a pleasure to see Thimbletack and Hogsqueal back in action - I've really missed these two over the last couple of books! All in all, I'm glad I read this series. Although some were better than others, the books are rather magical and very enjoyable on the whole.

A good little series.
Me and my boys (age 6 and 8) have been loving reading these together. Good stories, short and easy for a chapter a night reading. My 8 year old would enjoy reading them by himself but my 6 year old struggles with some of the words when reading independently (his reading ability is very average compared with his age-group friends).I was worried they were a bit scary at first for my two, but it takes you just to the edge but brings you back so nothing gets too frightening!
