and I'm still not very good. I just wanted you to know that about ...
I am an "expert novice," having played guitar for around eleven years, and I'm still not very good. I just wanted you to know that about your reviewer, so you can make your own decision about this review. There is some sort of CD-rom that comes with this guitar that is not that great, which is something I read before I bought it. Mine came with no literature, either; something I thought it was supposed to have. The rest of the stuff advertised came with it. One thing I read indicted the fret board lights up to help you learn to play; mine does not. The guitar is pretty, & the finish seems to be relatively good. Depending on which description on which site you read, it has a spruce top, though I'm relatively sure it's a laminate. The guitar seems smaller, thinner, but since I'm not a big person, it's fine. One thing I read stated it has an on-board tuner; mine does not. The fret edges protrude & are rather sharp, but for me, it has not been a problem, though I'm sure some will wish to file them down, should they receive the guitar in this condition. The action was REALLY low out of the box, with no discernible room for adjustment with either the saddle or nut, & it buzzed horribly. However, a very small adjustment of the truss rod placed the action perfectly for my taste. The guitar is on the tinny side, as many guitars in this price range & size have a tendency to be, in my experience at least. The guitar does not hold its tune perfectly, but I've had worse. I've seen the guitar advertised for around a buck & a quarter. Had I paid that, I would have been upset. Having paid only a Grant, though, I'm fine with it, & keep it handy in my living room for whenever the mood strikes. I didn't buy this guitar to learn to play. I bought it to have a handy beater around the house. For that, it's fine.

This was a cool gift
My husband has been interested in playing the guitar for a long time and I'd read good things about this package from eMedia so I gave it to him as a gift. He has enjoyed noodling around with the guitar and the lessons included, and the guitar, case, and other item seem to be of good quality.

Great Product
Bought this for my son. His old guitar was broken when we moved from Germany back to the U.S. I saw this pack and since he never had the opportunity to learn that this may be a great way for him to get into a hobby that he is interested in. I am currently deployed and did not have the option to go store shopping. Out of all the online sites, this was the best choice. He absolutely loves it.
