True by True Fabrications Adjustable Height, Counter Top Suction Corkscrew, Wine Opener & Foil Cutter

I finally figured out what was wrong with this opener. Like some of the other reviews, the first 3 times I used it, it pushed the cork deep into the bottle. Since I have owned the Rabbit style opener before, I knew the concept should work pretty much the same. So I inspected my opener. Look very closely to the picture, there should be a silver metal piece at the top holding the corkscrew and then down towards the silver handles, there should be a similar looking silver metal piece that kinda "snaps" into place. After looking at my corkscrew, the silver piece that is supposed to be at the bottom was actually kinda stuck under the one on top by the corkscrew. So every time I used it, the corkscrew didn't move. I simply pushed the second silver metal piece down until it snapped between the 2 silver handles and viola! It now works great. Mine suctions very well to a wooden cart but I don't think you really need the suction to open the wine. It also adjust easily to accommodate larger bottles. I hope this helps others who are having problems.

This is the 2nd one of these I've owned. I liked the first one so much, compared with other options available that I bought the same one again. Never really had any quality issues with my first one, especially considering the price. Any posts about it breaking seem like exceptions and should be given modest consideration, but not taken too much to heart. Since my first one lasted more than 6 years without failure, I think it's great. The only reason I replaced mine when I did is that the plastic became sticky after about 5 years.

This was a gift to a friend. He hasn't complained so I assume the product works well.

This was exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I don't like is the height adjustment is a small screw tightener rather than a clamp. It takes longer to adjust for the different size bottles than my prior device.

Just that it is ok.

These corkscrews to a very nice job of removing the wine cork. The only problem with this product is that the pin that subject to all of the pressure and tension during the extraction process, because it is attached to the suction cup, is plastic that breaks and you end up with another handheld rabbit with extra weight. These are great until the pin breaks.

Very disappointed because after only a half dozen uses, it will not suction to the countertop, no matter how clean and dry the countertop is. We threw out our old countertop opener because it stopped suctioning to the counter, but we had it for several years, so did not expect this new one to do that so soon. Would not purchase again.

As others had forewarned, the corkscrew stopped working after a couple of months of light usage.Would not recommend it.

This is a flimsy device which is badly designed and made. I used it five times: twice is pulled the cork out of the bottle and then with effort allowed me to unscrew the cork from the extractor, on the other three occasions it pushed the cork into the bottle and I had to decant the contents.This is a toy to look at, not a device to use.
