This is the best after market rifle shooting yoke I have found. It weighs 3 ounces.I bought two others that were of a hard plastic and instead of a U-shape they were more of a V-shape.This cradles a forearm nicely and this is more of a medium rubber material and not hard plastic. Sorry I can't be more specific.This softer material causes almost no rifle jump when fired.I paired this with a Sony VCT-R100 tripod that weighs only 1 pound and 7 ounces, and compacts down to 14 inches. It makes for a great carry rig.I did not like the weight or the bulk or the price of tripod shooting sticks you buy in big-box stores. I'm glad I rigged my own..... Shot an elk at 680 yards this year using this U-yoke and a 14 pound homemade rifle. Was able to get rock steady after tightening this thing down on a tripod I use for glassing. So far I've only used this thing 3 times but its awesome thus far.

Great little addition to my monopod or tripod. Helps stability and allows some free movement.

Fits my hunting rifle good and makes for a more steady shot.

Works out just right.
