For my refinished tub, I originally got a rubber mat without suction cups. It worked fine, but was heavy and eventually ripped, as I liked to hang it up by the drain holes. Leaving the mat in the tub leads to mold and mildew under it. This little mat is lightweight and rolls up neatly to store on the corner of the tub’s edge.I was concerned about the raised cones, but the material is soft enough that they are not a problem. As you step on them, the comes compress, so the mat doesn’t slip at all. My only caveat is that this mat is not very large. Be sure to check the measurements before ordering.

I purchased this for my refinished tub. It does grip to the tub unlike what some reviewers said. You need to press it down with your hands as bathtub is filling or it will float like any rubber mat. When taking a shower, just standing on it and pressure from your feet with cause it to adhere to the tub.

I have to say that one of the main reasons I purchased this was because it was made in Italy. The quality is excellent. If you have a refinished clawfoot tub, this is what you need. It won't suction off the paint like all the other suction cup bath mats. I use this for my children so they don't slip. I've had it a few months and it looks brand new. Please read the directions before using. I made everyone in the family read them. You're only supposed to press the very outer edge of the circles to the tub. Not the inside circle suctions.

I have tried every single bath mat for a textured tub that is available. This is the only one that actually works and is fairly easy to clean. (I had a "hairy" one, but once hair is caught in the fibers there is no way to remove it.) This one will float until some weight is put on it, but as soon as you step on it, it stays put. Since it is a smooth mat, it is relatively easy to clean. It is lumpy to stand on, of course, but not uncomfortably so. I use it in my tub/shower and it has been working perfectly for its intended purpose. Also, it isn't ugly!

I waited a long time to post this to see how it held up. We have a large garden tub and upon entering my foot used to slip and several falls occurred. My husband ordered us this and there have been no slips since. The rubber material on this grips the bottom of our tub well ( even though there is a slight raised wave pattern). This worked SOOOOO much better than all the store bought plasticky ones. This feels like real rubber and grips the tub MUCH better!

Costly yes, but worth every penny. Excellent suction yet easy to pick up. Best mat I have ever bought!

We are senior citizens and this mat is very much safe, little is expensive but wearth it

This bathmat stays in place, and it is very comfortable. I have not slipped on it at all. When I'm not using it, I lift it up so that the water runs off and then lay it over the side of my tub.

as advertised. too bad it wasn't 12 inches longer though.
