Q: Hello, the compartment divisions are removable? Or at least, easy to remove?

There are two layers to the box and the top layer is very easy to remove. l haven't tried to move the partitions in either level so I don't know if that is possible. Lots of space for lots of earrings as is.

Q: How long can earrings be to fit in this?...most of mine are 1.5inches

I have some pendants and rings that are about that size and I didn't have any trouble putting them in the sections. However; if a piece of jewelry is wider than 1/2" or so, you won't be able to close the lid on it. I have a ring that is almost 2" long and about 1" wide. It won't fit at all. Pulling out some of the dividers to fit bigger items is a good idea. The cases are beautiful though, and I was able to put almost 100 rings, plus some earrings in 2 of these cases. They are really nice and helped a lot with storing my jewelry.
