Okay quality, NOT Vermont American, it's Bosch
Tap works fine in aluminum, and overall is what you would expect for a decent Chinese tap. Don't let the Vermont American brand name fool you, it's straight from China and is labeled BOSCH (still a good deal - I cannot speak for how well it holds up to mild steel). I just don't like thinking I am purchasing one brand and getting another.3 stars, medium quality (not bad) but a star off for not being the brand advertised.

Excellent quality. The kind of quality I would expect to see from Vermont. Still sharp after many uses. I would be happy to purchase more of this manufacturers products!

Junk... The tap I received was a Bosh tap, made in China. It was not even the correct 3/4 by 16tpi...

A good quality item. But most importantly. I can read both the required drill size and the thread pitch on the item.
