Works well
I've wanted a pair of these for a while, but I only have one watch that has a sufficiently tight tolerance between the SELs and the lugs and that one always lives on the bracelet so I couldn't justify buying a pair. However a recent watch purchase presented a dilemma... exceedingly well fitted SELs and looks great on a multitude of straps... I checked amazon and that other online retail giant and was delighted to see that these had come down in price (as they no longer seem to be only offered by the famous Swiss tool makers)That said, there were a few to chose from, mixed reviews, varying prices and frankly they all looked the same.I picked the cheapest one that had a few spare/different size tips and came via prime and actually shipped to where I live, figuring Amazon's return process would see me right if something went wrong.I was a little dubious... glowing reviews mixed in with negative ones... and after all you can pay 4 or 5 or even 6 times this for a branded pair, would I get only what I'd paid for?To begin with I was happyish... they were a bit fiddly... didn't always grip the springbar well... I thought of them as replacing one fiddly way of working (a single tipped springbar tool and the need for 3 pairs of hands) with another (double pronged springbar tool that was fiddly to engage with the springbar)Both methods made me swear and both methods necessitated use of tape on the lugs for the inevitable springbar slippageBut then I stopped and thought it through... (there might be a YT vid on this, I should've looked) and tried to figure out the best way to make these work for me1. Select the best fitting tips for your size of springbar2. Ensure that the tips are held in the tool so that they're both the same length3. Ensure that both tips are orientated so that they're exactly perpendicular to the springbar4. The tool has a screw to control the distance between the tips. Use it to set the distance correctly.5. After compressing the spring bar, pull the watch head away from the bracelet, not vice versa6. When refitting a bracelet, compress the springbar then offer the watch head to the static bracelet1 through 3 need only be done once, but I would describe them as crucial steps to get right. RE 4 it pays to adjust the distance for both removing and refitting (the springbar is longer out of the watch)Once I'd done the above my success rate of using them skyrocketed, and I'm comfortable to use them and it really has made changing tight fitting bracelets a breeze. The tool itself is well enough made for its use. The tips are all double ended, which should extend their life. That's well worth the cost as far as I'm concerned. It's five stars from me!

Not very effective at all
Basically these don't really work. The idea is good but totally impractical.

Fondamentale!

Poca roba
Mah...davvero poca roba. Di certo non è per professionisti. Non svolge bene il suo compito. Passate oltre.
