Work great in roughcast walls
Used to secure cable clips for my sky cable and my fibre optic internet cable on freshly roughcasted walls.Drilled using a 6mm masonry bit. Pop the nail plug in and then nail the clip in. Holds the cable clip VERY securely.Very easy to use, very secure. I would probably recommend and use these for all jobs where I am putting a nail into masonry.Highly recommend.

Nail plugs
These are great! If you struggle to cleat cable to a brick wall because the brick or mortar is too hard or the mortar crumbles these are an absolute must-have. Simply drill a 5.5mm hole to a depth of the plug length (~25mm), insert the plug, and hammer the masonry nail of the cleat into the centre of the exposed end of the plug. It takes seconds to drill the hole and eliminates the frustration of trying to force a masonry nail into the bricks or mortar. This certainly reduces the overall cleat process time. Ensure you have a straight line and insert the plugs 250-300 mm apart for a neat finish.

Why have I only learned of these. Brilliant
These will be a godsend, no more trying to knock cable clips into walls & losing them, bending the nails or wacking my fingers, they work great but only if the clip nail is at least 1.5mm thick so no good for the tiniest of clips thats why it gets a 4 from me.

Can't believe I hadn't heard of these before
If you want to fit cable clips to a brick, mortar or cement wall, these are exactly what you need. Drill a small hole, drive them in, then drive the cable clip's nail into the plug. No more cable clips coming loose over time, no more damage to the bricks and mortar (other than the holes of course). Great for TV and satellite cables or heavy-duty round mains cables, which can be quite thick and pull on the cable clips over time.

How did I not know about these
I never knew these existed until I found them by accident! 10 years to late and countless cable runs later I really wish I had. Do exactly what you want them to do and keep a cable clip anchored to a wall, without smashing nails into brick or mortar or bending 4 clip nails trying.Use a drill bit one size smaller than recommended (5mm) and the clip won’t be going anywhere.

Great product for saving frustration
After struggling to nail into the outside our 1950s house, I came across these. I had looked at other products and even thought about gluing the wire to the wall.It feels like overkill to drill a hole to hammer a nail. But it works. The wiring for outside light is secure.Saved me hours of frustration.Like other reviewers I found the overall number of plugs is 200+, although some missing from individual sets.
