Good Replacement Pressure Switch for Porter Cable Job Boss Compressor Model C3151
This was a good replacement Pressure switch for my Porter Cable Job Boss Compressor Model C3151-1.My compressor is rated for 150 PSI while this switch is rated for 175 PSI. The switch include instructions to turn down the pressure. It allows you to set both the high and low limit with a single screw. It also has a screw to adjust just the lower turn on pressure, but I did not have to touch that screw. I was able to adjust the upper limit to 150 PSI for my compressor. As you can see the switch is tight fit in my compressor, I used the stock configuration with the pressure relief valve pointing out the side and gauge on the back outlet. The only drawback with my configuration is that the on off switch is not as accessible as the stock pressure switch. I have to reach in and over the switch to turn the compress to auto and off.As you can see from the picture, I was able to reuse the stock aluminum pressure line and its compression nuts to connect it to this pressure switch. After a bunch of careful bends of the soft aluminum, the pressure line just reaches. You could also use stock 1/4 copper tubing but found the stock hose just as easy to bend. No leaks an it works great. My original switch was a single pole switch. This pressure switch is a double pole switch (probably for 240 Volt compressors while my compressor is 120V) so I only used one of the poles and leave the neutral lines jumped as in the original wiring. My original pressure switch failed when the single pole switch fused and left the compressor running until the relief valve popped. It this happens again I have a spare pole on this switch. If yours is failing you might be able to simply clean the contacts.I had to also make mods to the wiring including using romex connectors to clamp down the wires as the wiring holes did not fit the stock grommets. I also chopped off the stock crimp plugs so they could be screwed on to the switch terminals.I could have picked up the stock switch for about $40 more than this switch, so I understand that might be a better option for most given all the mods I had to do to make this one work. At least you know what you are getting yourself into for saving $40 bucks. Maybe it wont fail like the original switch, if it does you can't beat the price. Compressors like this go for around $400, at some point it is not worth dumping $60 for a stock replacement pressure switch and other parts, I found this one a good alternative.Probably will work on a multitude of other compressors too so long as they are rated at 175 PSI or lower.

Great switch for 5 hp motor
This switch is a nice switch and seems to be of great quality and heavy duty. Yhe only problem I have with the switch is the room in which you have to wire it, It is VERY hard to get #10 wire on the connections with the grounds and get the cover back on. I ended up having to drill new holes in the case for the grounds. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The build quality is great and it works very well. I just wish you had a little more space for #10 wire.

Good pressure switch for my compressor
This pressure switch fit just perfectly on my Ingersoll Rand compressor that is 15 years old. It was easy to install as it had the same form factor and the old one and the same specifications. A plus was the price. It was very reasonable for what it does. I installed it and the compressor ran right away and when it reached 125 lbs it shut the compressor down. I am very happy with this switch.
