Wouldn't have purchased on my own
We received this in our Amazon Book box subscription and I wouldn't have purchased this book on its own. It's very simple but I feel like it's a little confusing for my kids since they don't hear any of the British phrases in daily life so they don't realize it's comparing the two items.

Delightful
I love this enchanting board book and the whole book series. The charming images are simple, bright and bold which are perfect to capture my newborns gaze. This book may be a little simple for an older baby but it's a perfect distraction for my needs.

Meh
I don't love this book and my son (almost two) isn't crazy about it either. Maybe when he gets older. I do appreciate that it attempts to teach the concept of opposites.

I loved the colors on the cover
I loved the colors on the cover, but the pages inside were a different color scheme that I didn't really like as much. I wasn't wowed by the graphics or the opposites comparisons. I still like the book though...

So cute
I really want my niece to understand the concept of England, since that’s where her uncle is from. This book was a great introduction.

Not the best in the series
I bought the entire series and donated this one. I haven’t found any books that do a good job of opposites yet.

So beautifully done that I had to buy the rest of the collection
My sister got this book for my baby boy for his 'Around the World' nursery theme. It was so beautifully done that I had to buy the rest of the collection. They are great quality and they are fun & unique with just enough material to hold his attention. I'm sure he will love this series for many years!

Too minimalist for me.
Thought the photos were severely lacking color and "fun factor" for kids. Boring book not suitable for small children.

Adorable London book
Such a cute book, great souvenir for little ones. Would say under 1, maybe 18mths at a push. Pretty basic for older babies.

There are seven "opposites" featured in this picture book: big and little, old and new, sunny and rainy, full and empty, outside and inside, over and under, as well as day and night. Two of the seven pairings are very poorly done:(1) "This carriage is old" (picture of a horse-drawn carriage) and "This bus is new" (with a picture of a double-decker bus). How is a child who is young enough to be learning the concept of opposites in a picture book going to appreciate the historic vintage of different modes of transport?(2) "The boat sails under the Tower Bridge" (with a picture of the boat travelling under the bridge) and "The car drives over the Tower Bridge" (with a picture of the boat driving on the bridge). This pairing made me wonder if the author actually understands the concept of opposites. Or maybe it's just over, under and on that she found confusing?
