This was my first experience with Fennel Pollen which I bought on a whim. I sprinkled am little on the serving bowls of a chicken, penne and pea casserole and I have to say that it seriously elevated the dish, without being obvious what it was. I theorize that the scent is the magician because the amount I used was miniscule. I could smell the pollen sightly but would not have noticed it if I didn't know it was there. It was actually pretty amazing. The package is a small plastic zip bag inside a steel tin. It seems relatively air tight and of course dark - so I expect it will keep well on the shelf. I am looking forward to trying this on more dishes, but it was really awesome on my pasta!

I happened on a blog post that mentioned fennel pollen and raved about it, so I decided to give it a try since I like fennel anyway. This product is fantastic! A little goes a long way (I discovered) so you can justify the cost of it by the fact that you'll use it frequently and it lasts a while. I've already used it in chicken salad, deviled eggs and most recently in summer squash. It really ramped up the flavor of the squash and took it to another level for sure!. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to add a new flavor component to their cooking. It is a great product! I only wish they would use shipping other than the USPS. It took three "attempts" (or so they said) for it to be delivered...to my business address no less!

The packaging was great and has kept and will keep the pollen fresh in my refrigerator. The aroma is beautiful and you need so very little to make a big flavor difference in your recipe. I thought it was expensive but now that I see how little is necessary to make in impact I am very happy with the price as well.

I use fennel seed often in my cooking. It is best to grind the seed just prior to seasoning. Enter this fennel pollen product. Fennel pollen is a bit more complex and intense in flavor than freshly ground fennel seed. It DOES take fennel to 'the next level' and it is so convenient to use when small quantities of fennel seed are impractical to grind. Packaging is designed to maintain easy access and freshness: there is a poly bag inside the tin. The high price reflects the difficulty of harvesting and packaging pollen--a bit like is the case with quality saffron. Grinding fennel seed will probably meet most of your cooking needs for this flavor very well. Meanwhile, fennel pollen has novelty value as a flavoring and it is the secret to making porchetta--Italian roast pork for those wonderful street-food sandwiches.

This product is really amazing. The fennel smell is almost as good as fresh fennel but the smell is unbelievable. I had doubts about this product since some reviews had me worried about quality, but it’s surprisingly aromatic. The only reason I rate it 4 stars is because of the amount of stems compared to pollen, which is about 80% pollen for 20% stems, but nonetheless an amazing aromatic product. This is definitely not just stems but it definitely is worth the pungent smell of fennel.

I am doing Keto. I saw this used in a YouTube video. I don't even like fennel seeds, or licorice, but I love this stuff! Wow is it fantastic on a steak! I will use this now in place of all other grill seasonings in my cupboard. Yum!

If you like the taste or smell of fennel? Than this is for you ! Saw this on a cooking show never new it existed . Ordered this tin waiting a whole three days , couldn’t wait to try ! Works wonders on small batches of sausage making ! Mmmm And also let’s not forget winter is here and so is soups and stew season!If you like spices and like the smell or taste of fennel, but not a fan of seeds in your food . You will really enjoy fennel pollen. It’s a must in your spice cabinet!
