Silver Organisation Cotton Skirt Dress Indian Ethnic Hippie Boho Gypsy

I bought this skirt because it was described as a wrap-around, which I greatly prefer, and because the pattern and colors differed from my other skirts. When it arrived, I thought there had been a mistake; through the plastic, it looked just like some other skirts I possess, predominantly dark blue with a little orange, no light areas or much other variation in color. I left it in the package for days, thinking I'd attend to the mistake. Then I decided to look at it. The pattern IS a little different from my other skirts, but it does not have the variation in color depicted by the post. It's largely two colors, dark blue and orange. The waist is elastic. It is sturdy and well-made. It has a nice drop, similar to that of a long wrap-around. I would say it's definitely worth the money.Caution: it SMELLS. I have had skirts come with this smell, from India, before. I hang them inside-out in the outdoor air, until the odor leaves. Sometimes it takes several days.Note: I wrote the above on April 12. It is now April 24, and the skirt has been hanging from my porch overhang for 12 days, in weather ranging from cold and rainy to 80 degrees and sunny. It still has some odor. I think it can come inside, in two more days. Perhaps washing it would have dispelled the odor more quickly; I prefer to let air and sun do the job.

The photo for this skirt is beautiful; in reality the pattern is kind of gross and big and the fabric is not soft. It might have softened up in the wash but I am returning it. Too many other nicer skirts to be had than this one. I hesitate to buy any others because they look so good in the photo but am sure they'd be disappointing in person too. I could be wrong tho, go for it if YOU like it.

This is a beautiful cotton skirt. The colors are not as vibrant as the photo shows but it’s still pretty. I bought this skirt because the description says it’s a “wrap around skirt”. It’s not. It’s a skirt with elastic waistband and a drawstring. Fixing it was easy -- by removing the elastic waistband and opening one side of the skirt, cut the drawstring in half and reattaching it to each side of the skirt. (Requires a button on the inside to hold the skirt in place.) Now – it’s a REAL wrap skirt! (A wrap skirt is necessary for travel when visiting countries where entering religious institutions require covering one's knees, i.e. Blue Mosque in Istanbul and temples in Bangkok, etc. I'm going to carry the skirt in my backpack and take it out when I need it.)I’m still giving this skirt 5 stars because of the low price and shipping from India only took 10 days. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase!

I am5’2”. I had to return it because it was too long. It actually touched the floor. The colors were beautiful, I wish that I could have kept it. I really hated having to return it. I thought of cutting it off at the waist ( maybe 3 rows) and use the material for the waistband. But with impaired vision I was afraid that I would make a mess. What do u think? SO pretty that I think I might just e-order it. Yes, I will!

I love these skirts. I wash on cold and hang to dry. I have several and I wear them often, get them dirty in the garden, and they wash up easily every time.

I love it! This is not a thin, cheap skirt! It is absolutely gorgeous and well made.
