Lack of information, not for average consumer.
I'm going to start this review out with one star because right out of the box I have no way to set this up. I may update it depending on how it goes. The box is a nondescript box that just says "HD Camera." no manufacturer's name other than a sticker on the side of the box that has the model number and says "Inwerang." The title of this item also says "Inwerang." So I assumed that is manufacturer, however I have been unable to find a website for Inwerang. The only instructions in the box is a useless "Quick Setup Guide" that has no information about the camera itself or the manufacturer, No Manufacturer website, name, or contact. The "Set Up Guide" directs you to install software from the CD, but there is no CD in the box. It says you can also download the software from their website, BUT THERE IS NO WEBSITE! Anywhere in the instructions or the box. HOW I'M I SUPPOSED TO SET THIS UP? Once I plug the camera into the router I have no way to set it up without the software. Another issue is the camera is a PoE Camera that can get power over ethernet but also has a DC jack which I assume means you can power it with a power supply If you are not using PoE. But there is no information about the type of plug I need for the power supply, ie size, positive tip or negative tip? I don't know because that information is also not provided. This is extremely frustrating. I found an email address on the sticker on the side of the box which I will try to contact. I will update this review If I hear form them, but I should not be email them to ask them where the heck their website is and how to get the necessary software. If I would have known what a hassle this was going to be I would not have bought it.Update 1/28/19: I increased star rating to 3 stars. I emailed the address on the sticker and they responded very quickly. They also emailed me the software, which is windows only, so I will have to use my wife's PC (I have a mac).I connected the camera to a 12V power supply I had laying around and plugged it into my router. It seems to turn on. Looking in my router's setting I was able to get the IP address of the camera and entering the IP address into my web browser I got the camera's login screen. I logged into it and was able to adjust settings set a password and see the ports the camera uses. I forwarded the ports on my router, but I still can't seem to see it remotely. This is too complicated even for someone who knows a little more than the average person about networks. It seems like it is a good camera for a professional who really knows about streaming protocols and surveillance systems. Not for the average consumer. There are not enough instructions provided to set this up for some one who is not a professional. If I can't get remote viewing to work using the software they emailed me, I will have to return it.Update 1/31/19: I finally got it to work with Security Spy on the Mac. Been up for about 2 days now and seems to be OK. My biggest problem now is with accessing the configuration interface. In order to adjust settings on the camera you have to open the settings UI in Internet Explorer, so I have to use my wife's Windows PC. However I can't seem to access the camera even in IE on Windows 10. I keep getting a "Network Abnormal" error (whatever that means). Maybe because it's connected to an AiMesh node off my Asus Router (not connected directly to the router, but to a node on my mesh network) Since it's working with Security Spy, I don't think I need to get in there right now. But if I need to in the future I may be screwed. I decided to keep it.Image is captured with night vision in a very dark garage.Update 3/2/19: I dropped it back down to one star. This thing will not stay connected to the Security Spy software. It constantly drops out and I have to reconfigure it. Not worth the hassle. All my other cameras from other brands have no problem. this is the only camera I'm having a problem with. Their customer service is very good, but I just don't have time to figure this out, it should just work like all the other cameras.

Inwerang (Hikvision Compatible) HD 1080P Outdoor/Indoor POE IP PTZ 2MP Dome Security Camera
I've had this camera for about a year now, I tried to find a replacement dome for this camera because it got foggy and scratched and was unsuccessful in finding a replacement. The company has never responded to my request for replacement domes. I finally got smart and figured out that the dome was a polycarbonate plastic. The same kind of plastic you would find on your car that covers the headlights. I bought some headlight restorer goop and used it. it worked. The camera itself is excellent quality. day and night vision are great. I figured out how to set it up so I can view the outside using my computer monitor. I still get no sound and it seems impossible to record anything via motion detection (So if I see anything, I just use my phone to record what's on my computer screen) and I dont care for having to go online for the settings. it should be more user friendly. They should have included software.Still tempted to buy another camera that is more user friendly and has replacement parts and I can hook up to my computer.

Included Software CD, AjDevTools, Is Infected With Malware
I would return this camera if it were possible. The included software CD is infected with malware, do not install AjDevTools. Additionally, there are a few download links online which also offer an AjDevTools for install, these are also infected with malware.Presently, I am unable to get this IP camera to be recognized on my network. The box it came it has a sticker on the outside stating "Default IP Address : DHCP on" . Unfortunately, the written instructions included inside the box state "DHCP is disable (sic) by default". Is DHCP on or off?I'm stuck. I'll confess to being new to IP cameras and perhaps this situation isn't anything out of the ordinary. I'm off to a bad start, what I've encountered so far isn't encouraging.

Hardware complications
A lot of features included in this compact PTZ. There's nothing I didn't like about this other than the PTZ motor is rather LOUD. Assuming this was normal I ignored it however, its been a week and the camera's motor is already giving me problems. I have to reboot if I want to use the PTZ. If it sits idle for too long I can not get it to move again. But this only seems to happen when mounted on a wall or sitting flat. When mounted to the ceiling it works with less complications. If it burns out I will update my review09/01/2020 - Inevitably I returned the camera for PTZ motor failure.

As good as the person setting it up
This was the easiest camera to add to my NVR. However, before getting powered with poe I used a dc wall brick to power it, and it had enough to power on but not enough to move the camera(pan/tilt/zoom). It just spun to a point and hummed.(like other reviews). After getting it set up for the NVR, I took it to the installation location and plugged it in with the poe switch(802.3af) and the ptz function works perfect. If you are having issues with the ptz function check the power source it may not be enough to power the mechanisms.

7 Months. Three cams all still working perfectly
I have 3 of these installed. Connectivity to Blue Iris has been flawless, The day and night image quality is great, and All PTZ functions are still working perfectly. Couldn't ask for more.

Plug n play after device search on nvr
I bought this camera after buying another mini dome poe ptz cam (from leftek) which did not link up to my nvr. This camera overall build quality is up there with commercial grade cams. It started working after doing a device search on my camera registration. The ptz functions as it described, it has 2 IR lights, the dome lens is clear and measures 3.5" in width. The housing diameter is 4.6" which is bigger than the typical size mini dome ptz you find on amazon. I'm very happy with this investment so far. Likely will consider buying more cameras from this seller in the future
