Great for gatherings
Couldn't find this amazing cheese dip for years. Castco used to carry it but discontinued YEARS ago. Glad I was told I could find it on Amazon

Bought on a Cheese-Whim!
As the title indicates bought this on a whim. Used to buy something identical or very similar from CostCo but they stopped carrying it about 5 years ago. Couldn't find locally anywhere. Well, kid who really, really liked the stuff went off to college and it was forgotten. A year or so after graduation she asked about it, since living at home. Did a DuckDuckGo search and found a couple of items that looked very familiar. The one purchased looked the most like the one she remembered so I ordered it for a gag birthday gift. Well, it was a hit and seems to be the one we remember. Personally, I like to add a little more spicy using Pace Hot Salsa! It's a bit more expensive than what I remember from CostCo but, it will be a nice "extra" every now and then. Makes great nachos, taco salad, and is really good on grilled hamburgers and brats/sausage/hot dogs!

Hands down the best nacho cheese out there.
I'm so sad our Costco doesn't carry this brand anymore. I do wish it came in smaller quantities for home use, but I easily go through a jar when I'm in the mood for it. Que Bueno has the best flavor for someone who is spice intolerant (me). Please please please make this product more accessible. It's to die for.

Scratch and dent sale, amigo
OK, the cheese is perfectly fine. It says it's primarily cheese, the first listed ingredient -- which I knew, having bought it before from Costxx -- and it tastes cheesy, but not like Velveeta or something iffy. (The other brands here have something else as the first ingredient.) It is just a bit spicy, but not too much even for me (not having a spicy palate). It is freezable -- or at least I did so with no obvious adverse effects (see photo). It's fairly thick, so I mix in some milk and nuke it for a bit. Taste-wise, it serves. The shipping, as others noted, is awful. It was plopped in a big box with one or two little airbags that did nothing at all. The can was all bashed up, but did not burst. Or maybe it was like that before shipping? And the price is rather higher than at the store mentioned above (who no longer carry it). Hence the 4 stars. But, yeah, I will buy it again. Soon as I lose ten pounds.

THE "REAL DEAL", FINALLY...Two Thumbs Up Amazon !!!!
First, this is a "Medium Heat", perfect !!!! I've been using this stuff since 1983 in a "Pizza Joint", then I used it in my own small "Subs and Mexican food place" for a couple years early 90's. After that I would purchase it at my local "Gordon Food Service" for personal family use, then they quit selling it. Been on the chase for the "Real Deal" ever since. Tried GFS brand, bought and tried the "Chef-Mate" brand sold here on Amazon (and other places) about 6 - 8 months ago, NOT EVEN CLOSE, IMHO. It was made by "Nestle", but way different recipe. Yes, the "ORTEGA Que Bueno Nacho Cheese Sauce" made by Nestle is pricey, but hopefully Amazon's price will come down as sales go up. It's not mentioned in description, but after calling Nestle Customer Service and talking with them, Ortega only offers 3 varieties, Mild Cheddar, Nacho Cheese, and Jalapeno. So this would likey be considered "MEDIUM HEAT", but it not a mouth burner....There's no imitating the "REAL DEAL", Ortega Que Bueno Nacho Cheese Sauce, right here ! Ortega Que Bueno Nacho Cheese Sauce, 6 lb. 10 oz. -----------UPDATE 1/30/16------------ Ordered again in July 2015 and finally opened it up. It's the real deal ! ! The name Ortega was not printed on the main face of the label, but was in the smaller print. My can label looks just like this.........Pricy but still good .

Is it the Same Stuff? No.
One star is kind of harsh, but it reflects my general disappointment with recent changes to some of my favorite food products. We bought these cans of goodness way too often when Costco carried them. Bar none, it was the finest nacho cheese sauce on the face of the planet. NO COMPETITION. Then Costco stopped carrying it. That was a real shock to the system, and one was left staggering, asking "WHY??????!!!!!!"Which left only online purchasing. And of course, even at Amazon, it's priced like gold. But I read the odd review stating the recipe had changed, so we put off ordering. Finally, we decided to take a chance. For those of you who may have purchased this nacho sauce five to eight years ago when Costco sold it, I'm afraid I have to inform you that yes ...... THE RECIPE HAS CHANGED.And not subtly and not for the better. chunks of jalapeno? Gone. Taste? bland and well ... kind of nasty. A pale, lifeless imitation of its former self.WHY?!?!??!?!? Ortega, what did we do to you to deserve this???!!!!

Delicious Nacho Cheese!!
If you’re looking for movie theater nacho cheese, this is the stuff! I was hesitant to buy because of the price and not knowing if this was what I was looking for but it was perfect!! I wanted your typical delicious, creamy, nacho cheese and it delivered. I poured the cheese into the lined crock pot and put it on warm for 4 hours and stirred every 1/2 hour and it was nice and drizzly. This size would be good for about 20-25 people. We had 15 and didn’t eat it all. It was a great addition to the nacho bar.
