Will it be easy to slip off when using these thinkpad trackpoint cap ?

Be careful, these caps do not fit all models of Thinkpad. I have an older model and they did slip off.

What is the internal width?

The square on the back appears to be just under 5mm square. The circle where your finger goes is about 8mm diameter.

It did not fit t470p p stands for proffessional, so unfortunately I ordered these and they did not fit. Thinkpad 470 is different than thinkpad 470p. So I am not the right person to confirm this answer
