For years I have been told that there are contradictions in the bible. For the gospels it eliminates them.This work really eliminates a lot of work for the student, and expands ways of understanding the story better.I especially enjoy this application in Amazon fire (ebook reader), when reading in bed.

One Perfect Life: The Complete Story of the Lord Jesus by John MacArthur.Dr. MacArthur blends the four gospel accounts and other biblical material about Jesus and puts them together in chronological order. The portions of Scripture used that are not from the gospel provide support for deeper meaning. This is a fantastic way to get the full picture of the life and happenings of Jesus in one continuous narrative. For those of you who are familiar with a "Harmony of the Gospels", that is essentially what this book is. I seen someone try this in the past but it did not come out well it was pretty much a hack job. MacArthur did a fantastic job with it.It is very helpful when reading a passage in one of the Synoptics or Gospel of John. you can see all gospel accounts of that passage in one paragraph rather than flipping back and forth with the respective cross-references in your Bible. He doesn’t repeat the verse it, it all runs together perfectly. The chapter headings list the scriptures used in each chapter, and the text is notated with the initials of the particular book each segment is drawn from. is also has the notes from the MacArthur Study Bible.

Beautiful harmony of the Gospels. Absolutely tremendous to give away as gifts when you see that door opening up for the gospel. Order a few and pray for the door to be opened to give them away, especially the young men and women so very lost in the apostate culture and mostly apostate Churches.

John MacArthur is probably one of the most detailed and knowledgeable bible teachers in our life time. His material never disappoints and is a great inspiration to living life better.

Fantastic way of understanding the chronological sequence of Jesus' life (especially ministry) Brilliantly put together using only the bible passages, resisting the temptation to insert (well-meaning) fill-ins and opinions. Plenty of explanations etc from the extensive notes and references to aid deeper study. What a life, a perfect life!

John Macarthur always writes a good book. He also sticks to the facts. He is a writer that I find sometime hard to get started but once you do you really get into to what he is saying.I have a lot of his books and he is also a great Preacher / Teacher

After his REFERENCE BIBLE, this must be MacArthur's most important work.Although we know Jesus Christ is the subject of both the Old and New Testaments, it can be a challenge to integrate the references.MacArthur brings them all together with text from the entire Bible supported by separate, amplifying and footnoted references, commentary and information directly below.Perfect.
