Easy to See!
As someone who has tried countless luggage locks over the years, the ANVIL TSA Approved Luggage Locks have been a breath of fresh air. Here’s why they stand out from the rest:Easy to See in Darkened RoomsOne of the biggest issues I’ve faced with other locks is their design – black on silver combinations that are nearly impossible to see in dimly lit hotel rooms or airports. The ANVIL locks address this issue brilliantly with their easy-to-see design. Whether I'm in a darkened room or rummaging through my luggage at night, the numbers are clearly visible, making unlocking my bags stress-free and straightforward.Enhanced Security with 4-Digit CombinationMost travel locks offer the standard 3-digit combination, which provides a certain level of security but can easily be compromised with some effort. What sets ANVIL apart is its 4-digit combination system. This offers 10,000 possible combinations, significantly improving security. I feel much more at ease knowing that my belongings are protected with this extra layer of security, especially during international travel.TSA Approved for Peace of MindThe fact that these locks are TSA-approved is another huge plus. If security agents need to inspect my luggage, they can do so without damaging the lock. This gives me peace of mind, knowing my belongings won’t be compromised or my lock destroyed during inspections.Durable and ReliableI've been using the ANVIL locks for several trips now, and they’ve held up impressively well. They feel sturdy and durable, unlike some cheaper locks I've tried that gave out after just one use. The locking mechanism is smooth, and setting or resetting the combination is straightforward.

Nifty Little Locks!
These miniature padlock TSA-approved locks are quite COLORFUL as well as FUNCTIONAL.Now, it's fairlly clear that any medium-sized bolt cutter (or maybe even a good set of needle nose pliers twisting the shackle a bit) could easily enough BREAK these locks and effectively OPEN whatever they're sealing up or locking out...But that's not the point. These are the kind of locks we'd say, designed to keep honest folks honest and do the basic first job of blocking open access. And as that, they do a very good job, indeed. They're quite sturdy, and easy enough to set to a different combination than their default 0000 they come with. You just open it up, rotate the shackle 90 degrees, press it DOWN, and reset your new code there, and release the shackle... PRESTO! new lock code.I really like that they're so COLORFUL and they FEEL GOOD on the hand. They're also priced reasonably. Secure FOUR suitcases or backpacks or devices for a single price. And do so with a bit of panache, flair, color!Cool Set!

Probably really good, but....
I'm sure these are really good locks, well made and surprisingly substantial. They would probably keep everyone but the TSA from stealing your stuff. Now the "but". These would have been great but it looks as if the package had been opened and returned. That in itself would not be a problem but it also seems that some sadistic creep set a combination and locked the locks before returning them. Not having the time to go through the 10,000 possible combinations I returned them for an exchange. When I get a pair of unmolested locks I'll update my review.5/18/24 Received the replacement locks. This time the box was totally sealed and both locks were unmolested and were quickly and easily set to their new combinations. I would say that they are an excellent product for the price point and as long as they continue to work as they now do they would be worth a 5 star rating.

Easy to use however I had one missing after my travel.
I really like these locks over the locks with the cable as I feel like it would be more difficult to cut through solid metal than a cable. I did however lose one of my locks on my way to France. I'm not sure if TSA removed and forgot to put back on or if it just fell off. I think it was TSA... I don't think it would have just fallen off but I am not 100% sure as I thought TSA was supposed to let you know if your baggage was opened and inspected as I have received cards in my luggage previously when it was inspected. So because of this I cannot give 5 stars as I am unsure as to why I was missing one lock. Otherwise they appear to be pretty secure locks.

Sturdy, Easy to Set
The Anvil lock feels sturdy and is easy to set. The combination reads on the side. Since the side is black, you see clear, white numbers that are easy to read. The body is available in various colors; I picked yellow. On a pink suitcase, this makes a color combo that is easy to pick out on a luggage carousel.Don't expect Fort Knox! The lock is sturdy enough to resist curious baggage handlers. I just used this on a long trip on my checked bag and nothing was disturbed. Recommended.

nice, compact and 4 numbers
like the idea of 4 numbers instead of the traditional 3... feels strong and well built, nice colors to find them easily.

Perfect
Used these on a recent trip from US to Europe. Mostly I just want to make sure my luggage doesn’t accidentally open. I was impressed with the quality. They definitely have some weight to them. They are also easy to “program”. Bright color useful for identifying black luggage as well.

Better than my expectation
Great value for the money. Appreciated that I could color match to my backpack to make it less visible. Most importantly, the numbers are easy to read without my glasses. Easy to set combination.

Ok, not much different than others
The four digit lock is good, but as for the ‘super-strength’ bars, don’t seem any different that other standard ones I’ve used in the past

Luggage locks that come off without bolt cutters...
Luggage locks that come off without bolt cutters... and that is a VERY good thing. The Israeli security team who searched my bag were able to unlock them using their TSA locking tools instead of destroying them. The locks I replaced would have been cut and thrown away. Paid themselves off on the first trip OS.
