Casual Canine Jacket w/Reflective Stripe Lrg Red

I have a standard Schnauzer who weighs between 38-42 lbs. When I saw this rain coat in RED, I ordered it immediately.The coat fits very well, and keeps him dry from the top of the neck to the end of his back. The material repells the rain, while the lining keeps my dog comfortable. As we live in Southern Calif, I cannot attest to the level of warmth, though the temperature can drop to the 40s.The coat is easy to put on and remove with strong velcro straps which are well placed ( designed) The coat is well made, with a great reflective strip across the back. I have washed the coat on delicate, cold water, etc. and have not put it into the dryer . As a result, It still looks attractive and repells the rain after 8 years.I want the coat to include a hood, or larger collar to protect the head.

I bought this jacket thinking that the outside material would be a nylon. I was so disappointed when it arrived because it's very thin and the outside material is a velvety texture. Also, I agree with the other review that the jacket is too long and too large. The large did not follow the guidelines and is much too big for my dog (basset hound). If you are purchasing this jacket for cold weather, I highly suggest looking for a different one.
