I have to say this hair straightener works awesome! Guys, if you take time to style your hair, the is well worth it!! This straightener heated up quickly, very easy to use and the packaging was great! What I love most about this straightener is that its small and compact and easy to use on short hair. I love the sleek black design and its not made of cheap material at all. My hair is naturally wavy/mildly curly so this does just the trick if you want a quick straighten. I highly recommend this to guys and women of course. Great price, awesome product, quick shipping, whats not to love?? Solid 10/10 :)

I'm a cosmo student and flat ironing short bangs with a regular sized flat iron is a pain in the rear. I bought this just for bangs and it does the job perfectly! It's small enough to get as close to the scalp as possible without burning yourself and it's hot enough to get the job done!I actually don't know what the heat temp is when it's on - I couldn't find that info anywhere. Regardless though, I love it and everyone at school that has seen and used it want it too!Definitely a great purchase! I've only had it for a short while but the quality seems like it'll last me quite a while with the proper care.

This is a good product. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Only thing is it doesn't have a temperature regulator on it. I should have done my research on it. It works well. It does get very hot so you have to be careful with it. I use it for my hairline only, which has very course hair. I am not sure I would use it on the rest of my head because of the high heat and not able to turn it down. But that is what I bought it for. I do find that it doesn't glide through my hair as well as the titanium plates. It is small and would be easy to travel with.

If you have shorter hair and bought this to make curls in your hair (that's what I bought it for, so I'm happy)...you're gonna love it, because it's perfect for that! It takes me 5 minutes to curl my whole head and they come out perfect and last all day with zero product. Also heats up in literally 10 seconds. If you bought this to actually straighten your hair...you're probably gonna be disappointed. It doesn't do well on my coarse hair or even my daughter's hair. It just doesn't straighten. Maybe because there's so little surface area? I'm not sure. But for curls I give it an A++

This thing is soooo teeny it fit tip to end in my hand (tip of middle finger to bottom of palm). I almost returned it, but because I had just cut my hair into a pixie style, it actually worked great on the shorter pieces. HOWEVER... *USER WARNING*: There is NO temp regulator on this. Just off or on. If you have extra sensitive/damaged hair due to chemical processing, this will melt it, even with the most careful application. I know...it melted mine and I've been super careful with ANY heat application since going platinum. So, with that being said, it definitely gets past 350* because I can use my regular size straightener with the temp set on 350* and it is fine for my hair. This one is too hot, and that's too bad because it was super good to not hang in my hair, and easy to get the little short strands of hair that are just way too short for a roller brush or a normal sized straightener.

Update: I had a few issues with the mini flat iron. The seller contacted me immediately to remedy the problem. I am impressed with their service and offer to make sure I am a happy customer. I definitely don't regret my purchase! I bumped my review from 3 to 5 stars.Meh, not super impressed. I bought this for curling short hair. It snags my hair, and I can't figure out why as the edges are smooth. Doesn't seem to get hot enough to give me a decent curl. I will say the nice small size is great for travel.

I ordered the HSI Professional Mini which was sold by Beauty Change and shipped by Amazon. I did not feel it got hot enough, and the ceramic plates had small scratches on it when it arrived. I did not contact the seller, but gave the Mini a One Star Rating on Amazon. I am not sure if someone from HSI read my review, or why it came about, but I received an email from a representative from HSI. I told them I was not satisfied with the appliance and after exchanging a couple of emails with them, they said they wanted to make it right. And they certainly did. I received a replacement which was shipped directly from the company and I must say this one works perfectly. I am very saitisifed and would certainly buy from this company again. They reached out to me, and in the world we live in today, I think that is an extraordianry thing to do. Thank you HSI.

(EDIT 12/18)The HSI team reached out to me to rectify the situation and asked me to re-review their product. They sent me a new straightener to replace my original. As I had mentioned in my original review, the straightener heats up really fast and does a good job of straightening. It's big enough to straighten a good amount of hair at a time and I appreciated the included glove so I don't burn my hand while using the product. I tested it when I first received it. I plan on continuing to use it as my default hair item and see how it fares as time passes. Thanks HSI!----Tiny is an understatement. You can get it if you want to touch up but to do a full head of hair, it'll take hours. It does heat up really fast and straightens well. But, it's tiny.
