Rio Gear Stadium Arm Chair

Pros: Lightweight, easy to carry - my sons swim and I like a chair for long meets. I have other chairs, but I often don't bother to even get them out of the car - too much hassle to carry.Cons: Mine was missing one of the large plugs - not a big problem, but I emailed the manufacturer right away and never heard back (it's been 3 weeks). Not cool. The chairs do not lock in place when open, you kind of get the feeling that they will close on you - I may add some strategic velcro to fix that.

I bought three stadium seats since we're spending a lot of time at the gym these days. This was by the worst of the three I purchased. It is actually smaller when folded, but the positives stop there. It is not terribly easy to unfold and refold. It does not have a grippy underside at all, so it slips around, even when it can be strapped around the bleacher seat. Most of the bleachers where we go do not have open undersides, so the seat just rests of the bleacher and slides all over the place, especially when occupied by a child. The backrest is not very supportive at all, which was my main reason for getting bleacher seats. The cupholder is only OK. The arm rests are very low, maybe 4 inches high, so not at all useful for an adult. If you're considering buying a bleacher seat, you'd be much better off with one of these. These are perfect for games. It takes some getting used to unfolding and folding the chairs back together. The back isn’t that supportive. It’s like the back support fabric isn’t tight enough so if you do lean back, it’s not comfortable because you’re at a weird angle. I can’t lean back easily with support like I could with my other brand stadium chair. I love the strap carry option. It makes it so much easier to carry.

I like this chair. Its small, sturdy, and has arm rests. It has straps and a clip to attach securely to bleachers. The only thing I don't like is that the cushion is a little on the thin side. Its definitely better than sitting on bare hard bleachers, but I might get a little memory foam padding to add to it. Other than that, it does help you stay more comfortable during those long tournaments, which any sports mom can appreciate.

Lightweight, portable, easy to use. Great for watching soccer games in the stadium bleachers as well as I can also use it on my bar stools at home for back support.There are convenient side pockets to hold your phone as well as your coffee mug.

I know people look to the reviews when deciding to purchase a product, so here is my contribution to the Amazon community.I was looking for a chair to use at my sister's volleyball tournaments. The metal bleachers can really be a pain at times, especially without back support; so I decided to get this for my mom. She ended up not using it because the tournament that we brought this to had actual chairs in place (fail lol). I did, however, use it myself for a different tournament; so my review is based on my own experience.For reference, I, myself, am around 5'10", 175lbs.What I don't like about this chair:1) It doesn't feel that sturdy. When I leaned back, I was afraid that I would break the frame of the chair.2) It wasn't that comfortable. The cushion are two simple and fairly firm foam(?) pads. Though it was better than the metal bleachers, it's not as good as I had hoped.3) It isn't that supportive. Part of this is the design. The other part is the not-so-sturdy-or-comfortable-material used to make the chair. The back support of the chair was a little low for me--it really only supported the lower half of my back. However, it may be just fine for shorter people.What I like about this chair:1) lightweight2) super portable3) does what it should (but probably not as well as other chairs)4) affordableIn conclusion, this is a very mediocre chair. I would rather save a little more money and purchase something better.

Love how compact and lightweight it is! Unfortunately, you have to reach completely under the bench to snap the belt under the bench. This is a problem because most high school benches are on top of concrete, leave only a few inches between the bench and concrete. It can be done but you are going to scrape your knuckles, if you want to secure it.

After two uses, one of the fastening straps separated from the rear of the seat base. Upon inspection, it appears that it wasn't sewn or bonded to the seat and/or the webbing beneath it. I suspect it will cost more to return it than to repair it myself so I won't bother. I went with a lesser cost seat since it won't get used often but for those who intend to make frequent use of this type of seat, I'd recommend upgrading to a more durable version.

I have to return this. The seat cushion flattens enough for you to feel the centre metal bar and the metal bars around the outside edges. It totally defeats its purpose! Very uncomfortable. You would need to add an extra cushion to the seat if you were to purchase it. The back rest is nice and it folds up compact and lightweight to carry.

Bought this to use on the bleachers at my kids’ sports games. Pretty light and folds up nicely so easy to tote around. Provides enough back support bum cushioning and temperature break from a cold bench. Only wish I’d found this sooner!

Compact chair alleviates lower back pain when sitting for long periods on canoe trips. Just that tiny bit of support alleviates lower back pain and avoids the need to change to a kneeling position!

We have three of these chairs for hockey and baseball season. Definitely adds support to bleacher seating.
