Don't believe the negative reviews on this little safe. I purchased one to test it out since I have to move from a house to a smaller apartment for some time. Is safe, secure and it does not occupy that much space. Perfect for storing my M&P shield, a spare mag and a pocket knife, the lock works like a charm. Will most likely purchase another one for my other firearms

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. For $20 this is heavy duty, well made and a perfect fit for my Ruger 9mm & extra magazine. Combination lock was easy to reset with my personal combination, directions were easy to understand and fit under the foam pads included. Cable was included to secure to a fixed point but I got this to make sure nobody but me could access the loaded weapon. An experienced thief could easliy cut the cable with bolt cutters and break open the heavy metal case with moderate effort, but my grandson has no chance to get at the loaded weapon.This is a great $20 investment for that purpose.

Best price-function combination I've come across for a small pistols safe suitable for travel. Can also work well as a general purpose travel safe, thanks to the anchor cable included in the design. The overall make is well-made, versatile, and well designed. There are mounting holes for permanent installation in the home, a customizable 3 digit lock code, an anchor cable, and top & bottom protective foam lining. The exterior is smooth, low profile, and flush allowing for small space use, such as drawers and under desks.

I got this pistol safe to replace a Sentry that I had. The Sentry's dial was too small to read and the they were too "loose" and lack some preciseness.This Younion pistol safe is of much better quality. It is a bigger unit and heavier then the Sentry. The dials were also bigger and easier for these old eyes to see. The selected numbers set in to place precisely too and they dial up or down. The opening knob/dial is plastic yet does not feel or look cheap. It holds my conceal carry XDs 3.3 40mm with ease. I keep this safe in my truck. It comes with a metal tether wrapped in black sheathing to lock the safe to the seat or wherever. This is a nice upgrade replacement.

Very good lock box for the price. Will serve to keep kids away from a gun, as well as the potential for satisfying law enforcement in a carry situation. Small enough to allow multiple mounting options. Better built than I thought it would be. I got one for each car, and might get another for the house.

The safe is a good size. I fit my full size PPQ 45 with a magazine in it, with enough room to store small valuables also. The security cord is a little sketchy, I don't think it would take much to get through, but it should deter most from just snatching it out of your house/car. The box itself seem solid. The sides don't flex under the pressure of my hands, and the hinge seems secure. Foam padding is nice and thick, and is completely removable. All in all, I think this safe should hold up against most opportunist burglars. Let just hope I never have to find out for sure.

I really like thus safe. Perfect size. I wrapped the cable around the base od my car seat then slotted the small end into it. Then slide it under the front seat. Viola! Also nice old school lock takes less than a min. To set your own combo. Nie cause the electronic ones are super easy to defeat if you know how.

This safe is great for home, office, and auto use. Seals tight, even, and with no wiggle room once locked. Firearm, valuables seem secure. Cable is pretty thin, anyone with cutters will snap this in a second. Having said that, the cable will prevent thefts without proper tools. For the money, this can't be beat. I bought 3 of them.
