I had been using an earlier version of an Avantree product which ultimately proved to be rather fragile across the 'headband' . This although more expensive feels very comfortable , fits well and produces exzcellent sound . It can be worn for say 2 hours without feeling 'heavy' ... it is well built and was very easy to install through a much simpler wifi connection than my previous set . Thank you . It arrived on timne and was well packaged .

Easy to setup and worked straight away. The sound is good and clear with plenty of adjustable volume, which I need being heard of hearing. I can listen to the TV at my preferred level while my wife can listen at her own level. No external interference experienced at all, not even from the Amazon Firestick. I used a LINKFOR 1x3 optical splitter from my TV with one feed going to a sound bar and the other to the bluetooth transmitter. The headset is lightweight and comfortable. This will now be my preferred way of TV watching instead of hearing aids. A big thumbs up.

My partner has sensitive hearing and mine is feeling the effects of age. I bought this to hear the tv at my volume while she can turn the tv sound independently. Fe this it works extremely well.However, if either of us had the laptop on, when the Transmitter is first switched on, the laptop loses the wi-fi signal for about five minutes.Not a big deal but a bit annoying if you’re in the middle of downloading something.Otherwise, highly recommended.

Bought these for watching TV. Sadly my hearing isn't as good as it was and it gives me the option to increase TV volume on the headphones without disturbing other viewers. Apparently, this ability depends on your TV but fortunately ours is a relatively new 4K Smart TV. The headphones are very comfortable and easy to operate. Sadly it took longer than was necessary to set up because initially we plugged in the cables into the by-pass sockets (didn't realise there were duplicates) so be aware. Had we done it correctly first time, it would have taken seconds. It was only when digging deep on the Avantree website we realised our mistake! Might be that assumptions were made in the Quick Start instructions that we would know?? Simple to charge (use my tablet charger), with long-life battery. Very pleased with purchase.

Absolutely brilliant - and very reasonably priced - addition to my TV sound system which already has a sound bar and woofer fed by my LG smart TV’s Optical Out port. To maintain independence of the sound bar and the Bluetooth headphones, I satisfactorily used an optical splitter to split the feed. The pairing of the headphones and the transmitter (with its 5V supply taken from a spare USB port on the TV) was trouble free but the “OPT” light on the base station initially flashed and there was no audio. This was quickly remedied by switching the TV audio o/p to PCM from Auto.The quality of sound in the headphones was superb, with the dialogue easily heard as well as the base end for music. There is zero latency. To start with the headphones were too loud so I tried pressing the minus (-) end of the volume control on them with no effect, so I at first thought they were defective. Please note however that my research showed that you must ‘DAB’ the “-“ or “+” repeatedly to lower or raise the sound level in the cans. If you press them continuously, nothing will happen. This is not mentioned in the Instructions.Note to the (US) manufacturer: It would be nice to have a Mute button on the headphones for the annoying ad breaks.

The Avantree HT5009 have to be the worst headphones i have ever had. They have been a problem from day one, most days they have problems with the connection dropping off like if you move more than 3 meters from the transmitter the sounds starts cutting out and that had been happening from day one i have a hard time trying to keep them connected . and after a long time messing with them today i cant get them to connect at all. If your looking for some good wireless headphones then don't waste your time with theses as there just cheap and nasty Well i say cheap there over £100 so there not that cheap there just plane nasty mine are going in the bin and i will buy some more that work as they should and trust me it wont be anything from Avantree
