Garland Rug Charleston Area Rug, 9' x 12', Black

FOR THE PRICE i give it 4 stars. If you are expecting the quality of of 300 dollar rug, you will not want to buy this. BUT, if you're looking for something affordable that gets the job done, this rug is fine. It's very thin. in fact, it comes folded up in a box thats probably 2' x 3' -- (which causes bends in the rug that im hoping will flaten out) It has a rubbery backing that seems to hold in place on the floor pretty well, but im still going to double side tape the corners. the color is good (perhaps a little lighter than the picture) and the pattern is subtle. its soft enough. it feels better on bare feet than my current carpet. i rent and the existing carpet is kind of old and stained, so i just wanted an inexpensive way to make my floor look better. - the edges are also bordered, so i'm hoping that will prevent fraying that tends to happen with cheaper rugs. over all, for 60 something bucks, its a good product.

We have two black newfoundland dogs so there is fur all the time. We put down a too-light carpet tile, intended as a temporary but it is just dirty or looks dirty all the time. Got this rug for two purposes - disguise all the fur and provide some padding and warmth. It does both of those things well. The color has seems to have a good reflective value in that the black isn't sucking all the light in, the room does not look dark.

When I saw this rug, I got really excited. Perfect large size for a very reasonable price. Well, you get what you pay for. It arrived in a box ( yes, folded, so 1st sign of how flimsy it is). Once I opened it, it had a funny smell that lingered for weeks. It is REALLY thin and flimsy. It bunches up very easily. The best way to describe it is like a giant beach towel. Also, the fibers started to detach pretty much the next day. Don't waste your money on this rug. This was by far the my worst purchase on Amazon to date.

Durable, rubber backed, and the color is beautiful!! We have a zoo of animals, and I have to replace rugs often. I especially liked that it has a gripping back (similar to a bathroom rug) to it so no padding underneath is necessary. I was concerned that it came folded rather than rolled. But the creases came out within a day. For a durable rug, 9x12, and only about a 100$ this was a fantastic deal. I bought the "seafoam" which is like a teal and grey mixed together. The pile , even though textured, is low and easy to vacuum. LOVE IT!!!!

It came in folded in a poorly closed box. That was probably the only issue there was with the order. Other than that you get what you pay for. It looks nice and it's quite comfortable to sit on. I bought it for my basement so it's not gonna be put through a lot of stress, otherwise I wouldn't suggest buying this for a living room or anything of that nature due to its simple structure that could *possibly* be damaged easily. Not too sure of that prediction but I suppose time will tell.02/03/2017So the rug is loosening out. Every issue I had with it at first is practically gone. It really does flatten out after a few days. It's only been one or so day with the rug so it has some more flattening out to do but so far it has shown incredible improvement. It's turning out to be a rug I would highly recommend for the price and its size.

A good value for a good sized rug. Served our needs just perfect. Haven't had it but just a few days but it has already passed our "test". It is not a $300 rug but we didn't need one that cost that so, it serves our purpose.

This is the absolute worse rug I have ever bought! Absolute waste of money. I have had this rug for three weeks and this rug has already snagged all over! It's so thin and even after 3 weeks it still does not lay flat. I would steer clear of this one!

For the Money, they work as a very large area cover. They are cheap looking once first put down but they look better once you get other things over them. The new smell goes away after they sit out for a few days.
