These are designed correctly! They cut a chamfer and don't rub a burr. In addition, they are a great value compared to the Uniburr product. So why did I give them only 4 stars? First, these must have come out of a casting because you can see where the flashing was removed from one side. Why is that important? On to the next point: they wobble. I've tried chucking 'em up every way: deep, shallow, middle shaft. They wobble no matter where you hold them probably because they are cast and sharpened but not machined on a center. I come from a tool making background, so seeing a cutting tool run out of true makes me cringe. Aside from all that, THEY WORK! Just run them slow like you would any counter sink. I may purchase these again, but I've cut a lot of steel in my day, and I know when a cutting tool runs out of true excessive wear takes place on the high side and prematurely wears the tool out. I'll just have to see how these hold up.

The tool is not "wow!". It gets the job done, but exactly at the level reflected by the price. Good bang for the buck, at the moment I'm o.k. with it, but next time I'll look for better quality, even if it will be way more expensive.

Worked great on standard bolts. Didn't make a dent on my wheel studs though. Needed to use a die grinder and sanding wheel to clean those up after cutting.

I have only used it once on 2 steel bolts that are at the limit of the small size for this tool. With a Works cordless drill at the slowest speed I could command, the deburring chamfer tool cut a nice taper end into those bolts with minimal effort on my part. They treaded perfectly in the part where they belong. Good product that I can't wait to use on other projects. No comment yet on the lifespan of the cutting edge.Claude

SAVED MY BALL JOINTS! The pictures show the bad threads, the threads after using the tool, then the nut installed. I used high temp bearing grease and a cordless drill running VERY SLOW. I had to separate the ball joint because the cutter needs about 1 1/2 inches of depth. I can not say enough about this tool, especially at the price for 2!

Tried to use this product on 1/4" steel bolts with rough ends. Those were Grade 5 steel bolts I believe. Tool did not work - it did not bite into bolt end as expected. Just rubbed bolt end slightly despite pressing hard on it. Then tried on 1/2" steel studs, same effect. Not sure what is shown in advertisement for this product, either use on mild steel or a different product, just looking like this one.

I ordered these figuring that I would get a use or two out of each one... turns out they actually work pretty well even on hardened bolts. I don't expect them to last a heck of a long time, but for what I paid and as well as they worked, I'll just order another set and keep on going.
